Tuesday evening・❥・
6:14pm
Tuesday evening Grey sat at his desk checking his books for the previous week. He was glad to see how well his businesses were flourishing. What started as an operation to clean his dirty money from hustling, was turning into something very profitable. He was sitting on enough money to last generations and didn't plan on stopping any time soon. He was striving to make that little boy who used to go to bed with hunger in his stomach just so his siblings would have something to eat, proud. His rough childhood was always in the back of his mind, pushing him to work more and earn more. His level of hustle was unmatched because of it.
His assistant interrupted his train of thoughts as her voice comes through the phone intercom, letting him know his morning meeting had arrived.
"Send them in." He tells her, before closing out the window on his computer screen, rising from his chair, and going over to the bar to pour himself a glass of cognac. The door opens as Juice and Power enter his office.
"I appreciate you both for showing up. Have a seat." Grey says greeting them and motioning towards the chairs placed in front of his desk.
"We here. So what's up?" Juice responded sharply, getting straight to the point. Truthfully he wasn't interested in breaking bread with a nigga who got his first love pregnant, so it was only natural for Juice to be disdained.
Grey lowly chuckled, peeping his hostility. Blanche assured him that her and Juice were only friends, but niggas were typically overprotective of woman for one or two reasons and with how easily she lied about the situation with her ex, Grey wasn't so sure of her word now.
"What Juice is tryna say is that we appreciate that invite." Power interjects, trying to keep the peace. However, Power was unsure if that would be possible. Both men were in love with the same girl and neither of them knew it.
"Hopefully you can tell us more to why we are here." Power continues.
"I was hopin' you could provide me with some information on Blanche's old nigga." Grey states, coming behind his desk and taking a seat in the chair.
"Who? Indie? What you wanna know bout' that nigga for?" Power asked.
"I'm sure you both know Blanche is pregnant." Grey says, looking at them both for confirmation, "And if I nigga touch what's mine, he pays with his life."
"What that gotta do with Indie?" Power question him, confused.
"They had a run in the other day and he tried to attack her and apparently this isn't the first time." Grey informs.
"What you mean this isn't the first time?" Juice interrupted, becoming angry with the fact that Blanche would hide something like this from him. The change in Juice demeanor didn't go unnoticed from Grey or Power. Power knew why but Grey was still putting the clues and pieces together.
"She told me he was the reason why she lost her first child." Grey told him. Instantly, the room around Juice went silent. To know Blanche not only lied, but choose to keep this secret from him about their child and share it with someone else, shattered Juice. Plus if Juice did know, then he damn sure would've done something about it and they wouldn't even be having this conversation now. Indie's grave would've already been cold.
"So you tell me this niggas been beating on her?" Power inquired, trying to wrap his mind around what Grey was saying. In all their conversations about Indie, not once did she ever mentioned it going this far. Power was wondering why Blanche never felt comfortable to share that information with him. They damn near shared everything else.
"The way she tells it, you would believe it was a no, but I'm not sure so. That's what I called this meeting. The nigga has to be dealt with." Grey stated.
"What you got in mind?" Juice inquiringly asked.
"First, I need to find info on him, but for some reason my people can't find anything. It's like the nigga is a ghost in the system." Grey answered.
"It's because he uses an alias and has his right hand running all the points, so he's invisible and shielded. It's why Carter was interested in doing business with him in the fist place. On paper, the nigga basically doesn't exist." Juice said. Frankly he wasn't looking to be associated with Grey but sometimes the enemy of your enemy, could be an ally. Juice didn't rock with Indie from day one and that was way before Blanche became involved with him. From the very first meeting they had with Indie, something about him set Juice's radars off.
"Fortunately for us we still know where all his traps are." Power added. Grey leans back in his chair, rubbing his beard and taking the information in, "How heavily guarded is it?" Grey asked.
"It's guarded, but it's not gonna be a problem." Juice assured him.
"Aight then. We need a plan of attack. I wanna hit this nigga before he even sees it coming." Grey said. Just the thought of Indie's plan, actually succeeding had Grey seeing red. He wanted to strip Indie of everything dear to him, starting with his bread. Without it, Indie wouldn't survive the war Grey was bringing to his door step.
"Shit, we could do it tonight. I know where his boy is gonna be at. We could be the decoy while Juice makes the hit." Power suggested. While he was on Instagram earlier, Power came across Leena's story about her and Press's whereabouts for tonight.
"Fasho then. You cool with that?" Grey asked Juice.
"Most definitely." Juice replied. It had been a while since Juice put his flocking abilities to work, but just like riding a bike, it was second nature to him. It was how he learned to survive as a child. Him and his crew were notorious for running up in traps, robbing niggas and stripping them of everything they were worried. The young, reckless nigga in him enjoyed the thrill but his flocking days where eventually cut short on the day he ran up in one of Carter's traps. Since then Carter had taken Juice under his wings, mentoring and mining his hustler mentality into something much more beyond robbing niggas.
"Aight then. Let's put the play in works." Grey says, glancing down at his phone, seeing Blanche's name appear on the caller ID. He let's the call go to voicemail as he finishes up his meeting.
"Send me the details of the location for tonight." Grey tells Power as him and Juice rise from their seats.
"Fasho." Power tells him, slapping hands with him before him and Juice make their way out of the office.
Once alone, Grey stares at the missed called from Blanche on his screen, contemplating. It was safe to say he was still upset and frankly he didn't see himself letting her out the doghouse anytime soon. Grey needed Blanche to understand the importance of the situation and stop trying to downplay her ex niggas erratic ass behavior. Just the thought of Indie hurting Blanche, brought out the monstrous side of him, that he'd been trying keep in check for so long. Grey was out for revenge and wanted blood. Frankly he didn't understand why Blanche didn't come clean about everything in the first place. Did she truly fear her ex nigga that much? He never pegged her as the type to deal with an abusive nigga. But then again, what did that type really look like?
Clicking on her name, Grey calls her back.
"What's up?" He says once the line connects. Blanche smacks her lips and his cheek lifted in a grin, sensing her attitude.
"What's up?" Blanche repeats annoyed, groaning.  "How long are you gonna keep acting like this, Grey?"
"How long were you gonna keep hiding the truth from me?" He bites back as she scoffs in response.
"I told you I was sorry. I get I should've just told you, okay? I won't keep anything like that from you again. Now can you please be nice? Come over. I miss you." Blanche pleaded. She was over Grey being angry at her. At this point, she wasn't against begging. Blanche knew she messed up by not telling Grey the truth so she willing to appease his ego to soften him up.
Truthfully, she couldn't take her own medicine. As much as she ghosted him in the beginning of their relationship and it only right, in true karma fashion,  for Grey to do the same. Granted he wasn't trying to be petty. If he didn't care about her well being, he wouldn't have been acting like this in the first place.
"I can't ma. I have plans for tonight." He tells her, making her suck her teeth hard. Grey knew there was a pout plastered on her face on the other side of the line.
"Fine. Whatever Grey, continue to let me sleep all alone. It's cool, I see how you really feel about me." She says, trying to guilt trip him.
"Yeah yeah, ma. I love you too." He replies, ignoring her attitude.
"What did you say?" Blanche shockingly quizzed as her chest tightens and her inside get warm and fuzzy.
"You heard me. I said I love you." He repeated, making her cheeks get flushed, feeling giddy. She felt it too, but would've never been the first to say it. Yet hearing Grey's confirmation about what she'd been feeling, made her feel good.
"I love you to." She sweetly replied, forgetting that she was angry.
"I like the sound of that, ma. Ima hit you later though, aight?" Blanche says okay before hanging up the phone. She sighs deeply, rubbing her belly. Never did she think, that when she meet Grey, their relationship would turn into this. Mostly because she avoided falling in love at all cost and truthfully the night she'd met him, Blanche was only looking for a one night stand. However it was clear the universe had something much more in store for them.
