On the other side of the building, Adaline sat in a small workshop supposed to be tinkering with a pair of cuffs she and Cisco talked about. She was staring into space when the door opened, she turned seeing Cisco standing there.

"I'm sorry, I was inconsiderate of your feelings." Cisco said

"You weren't. I was just getting emotional about it." Adaline said

He walked toward her taking a seat beside her, she placed the screwdriver down. He looked to her, seeing the battle going on within.

"I'm not the same person I was 9 months ago. Sometimes I feel like that part of me died that night." Adaline explained

"She's still in there, Dell. She's just hiding. She'll be back one day." Cisco said

"That night, you never talk about it." Adaline said

"Some things happened that night, things we can't change, just move forward from." Cisco said

Adaline looked at him with a tight-lipped smile.

"I can't bring myself to go there, where it all happened. I'm afraid it would trigger something." Adaline expressed

"What if I go with you, we do it together." Cisco said

Adaline grabbed his hand, nodding.

After a nerve-wrecking walk down the stairs, Adaline's eyes were still trained on the pile of rubble the room that changed everything, unmoving, frozen.

**Adaline's flashback**

I just finished running up the stairs to the next level looking at all of the panels trying to calm down enough to focus. I put my radio down on the cart next to the door, then ran to the wall beginning to rip panel covers off, I finally had all the wires and screens exposed and I got straight to work.

"Cisco, can you hear me?" Ronnie voice echoed out of the walkie

"Ronnie, it's me." Caitlin said

"Caitlin...Is Cisco and Adaline there?" He asked

"It's just Caitlin and I, I'm here Ronnie, I'm listening." Cisco replied

I was going to respond but I need to get these wires back trying to stop it.

"I adjusted the magnets to redirect the beam to try and vent the system so the blast will go up and not out." Ronnie explained

"I'll need to reset the particle perimeters to compensate." Cisco said

I stopped and redirected toward the panel off to the far left, helping Cisco reset the perimeters. The lights in the room blacked out, causing me to stop. I kept trying to power through it.

"Cisco's doing it. There has to be another way out of there, you have to find it." Caitlin pleaded

"Cait, the chain reaction, I can't reverse it. The doors need to stay shut to protect you. Are you still there?" Ronnie asked

"I'm here." Caitlin said weakly

I finished what I was doing, turning to run.

"Caitlin, whatever happens-" Ronnie said before it cut out

I heard the wall crack, I turned and then everything went black.

**Flashback over**

Cisco squeezed her hand pulling her out of her train of thought.

"You are still you." He whispered

"I didn't want these and now I have to live with them because of our mistakes." Adaline explained

Cisco looked at her.

"I couldn't save Ronnie." Adaline whispered

"We couldn't save Ronnie, but he will live on from the message Barry is spreading everyday." Cisco explained

Adaline nodded, squeezing his hand.

"He died a hero." Adaline said softly

"I saw you were working on the dampening cuffs." He said

She looked at him.

"I'll help you, we will build and we will figure a way out about getting them under control." Cisco replied

Adaline nodded, smiling. Cisco pulls her into a hug, she felt her eyes begin to burn, knowing she was going to start crying. She shoved her face into Cisco's shoulder, hiding.

"Let it out." Cisco whispered

After several minutes, they pulled apart, Adaline wiping her face ridding it of tears.

"Let's go get this guy." Cisco said

"Let's get him." Adaline replied

Cisco walked away first, Adaline took one look back at the crumbled room, feeling a sort of power growing in her. She smiled to herself before racing to catch up with Cisco.

I love Cisco and Adaline's relationship.
