Adaline stared at the hologram, confused on what this meant.
"Flash missing. Vanishes in crisis." Cisco said.
"After an epic street battle with The Reverse-Flash, our city's very own Scarlet Speedster disappeared in an explosion of light." Barry said.
"Barry, look at the date." Adaline said.
"April 25th, 2024." Barry said.
"Guys, when I fought The Reverse-Flash at Christmas, he said that we'd be fighting for centuries." Barry explained.
"Wait, you can't really think that this is from...the future." Caitlin said. "That would mean Dr. Wells, or whoever he is, is also..." Cisco said.
"From the future." Barry and Adaline said.
"I have to say I'm really digging the brighter red suit and the white on the symbol? Cisco said.
"It looks sick." Adaline added
"Wait a second, suppose we change the color of your suit. Will it be because we got the idea from this picture? That would mean we're living in a causal nexus. This is- wow. This is so trippy. Like, Marty and the Polaroid trippy." Cisco explained.
"Not as trippy as the second and third story or the name on the byline." Caitlin said.
The group looks closer at the hologram, the byline name read Iris West-Garcia.
"Iris marries my brother?" Adaline asked.
"Ghost and Mach left without The Flash." Cisco read.
"Gets even better." Caitlin sang.
Adaline eyes scanned down to the next one, when it finally caught her eye.
"Adaline Allen signed as new President of S.T.A.R. Labs." Barry read aloud.
"Allen?" Adaline asked.
"Mazel tov?" Cisco said.
"Hebrew." A voice rang.
Caitlin gasped as Barry pulled Adaline closer to his body. They looked around to search for the source as they stepped further away from it.
"Ancient language of the Jewish people." The voice said.
"Uh-uh. What the hell was that?" Cisco asked.
The four of them looked around, still trying to find the source of the voice.
"Is someone here? Hello?" Barry questioned
A hologram revealed itself as they all gasped, taking another step back.
"Good evening, Barry Allen." The hologram said
"Uh-h-hi. You know who I am?" Barry asked "Of course. Barry Allen, director of Central City Police, CSI Division." the voice replied
"Director?" Barry asked
He looked at Cisco and Adaline.
"I guess you get a promotion." Cisco said
"Also known as The Flash. Founding member of-"
"What are you?" Barry asked
"I am Gideon, an interactive artificial consciousness." She said "AI. Sick." Cisco and Adaline said smiling
"You know Dr. Wells?" Barry asked
"Yes." Gideon replied
Cisco and Adaline looked at one another, eyebrows squinting.
"Do you know who he really is?" Barry asked
"I don't understand the question." Gideon said "I-I-I mean, what is he doing here? Why-why-why did he come here?" Barry asked
"To kill you." Gideon said
The four all stare back at the hologram, some surprised, others shocked. The sound of a phone vibrating distracted them from their discovery.
"Wells is in the building." Cisco said "What? How do you know that?" Caitlin asked
"Dellie and I put a tracker on his wheelchair. Which, if we were wrong about him and he is paralyzed..." Cisco said
"We're going to hell for that one." Adaline said
Cisco's eyes scanned the phone watching, carefully.
"He's in the Cortex, ask questions fast." Cisco said
"Why did he kill Nora Allen?" Barry asked
"Because he was angry." she replied
"About what?"
"That you escaped." Gideon said "He's on B-Level. He's coming this way." Cisco said
"What does he want from me?" Barry questioned
"For you to be the Flash" Gideon replied
"Maybe that's why Wells let the particle accelerator explode, so that you become the Flash." Caitlin said
"Why? For what reason?" Barry asked quietly
"Why did he kill Vivian and Joseph Garcia?" Adaline asked quickly
"For you to become Havoc." Gideon said "He wanted me to become what?" She asked confused
"Guys, we gotta go. He's almost here." Cisco said "Hurry." Caitlin said "Alright." Barry said grabbing Adaline hand
"Wait, wait a second." Cisco said
"Cisco, what? We don't have time." Adaline said "What if HAL over there tells Wells that we were here?" Cisco asked
"Oh that's true." Adaline replied
"That would be bad." Caitlin said
"If we could get into its operating system, maybe we can disable its memory core." Cisco said
"Gideon, can you show us where your operating system is?" Barry asked
"Certainly." She replied A hologram showed up revealing a giant rapidly changing channel, Cisco and Adaline stare at it with disbelief in their eyes. The two give out a light laugh.
"Yeah." Cisco said "Nope." they both said "That's not going to happen." Cisco said walking away
"Why don't we just ask her not to say anything?" Adaline asked
"Guys, he's in the corridor." Caitlin said
"Gideon, could you just not like, tell him we were in here?" barry asked
"Of course. I will accept any command given to me by you or Adaline." Gideon replied
"Guys!" Cisco said "Come on, we gotta get out of here." Caitlin pleaded
"Wait? Why? Why would you accept our commands?" Barry asked
"Because you two created me." Gideon said
Adaline and Barry stared at the hologram before its quickly disintegrated as Adaline grabbed Cisco shadowing out of the room as Barry grabbed onto Caitlin racing her out, not leaving a trace of any of them in the room.
