We walked through the front door walking up the stairs, not saying anything. I walked into my room straight into the bathroom going to change. I began untying the dress when Barry walked in.
"Okay what is going on?" Barry asked
"Nothing is going on, I'm getting ready for bed." I continued
"We were doing great, everything was fine. What changed?" Barry asked
He stood chest to chest with me, staring into my eyes.
"Where do we stand?" I asked
"What?" He asked
"I said where do we stand?" I repeated
He looked at me, a heartbroken look in his eye.
"Because I need to know, if you want to stay in this constant loop of late night rendezvous and amazing sex then that's fine, that's great, but don't string me along as if this is going to be something more." I explained
He stood there, silent as I removed the rest of my outfit starting the shower.
"Do you want to call that girl from the bar?" I asked
"No." Barry said with no hesitation
"Then what are we doing Allen?" I asked stepping into the shower
The next morning, I got dressed and left for the lab before Barry woke up, not wanting to discuss anything about last night. I stopped by Jitters and grabbed coffee for the lab before arriving, seeing Wells standing at the cortex. I placed the tray of coffees down, smiling.
"Good morning Dr. Wells." I said
"Morning Adaline. Is everything okay?" He asked
"Oh course, why wouldn't it?" I replied
"You normally come in later and you have a certain tall man beside you." he said
"Just felt like doing something different." I said walking to my computer
I was halfway through emails and multiple files when Cisco came walking in with Dr. Wells, a worried look.
"Hey, what's up?" I asked
"I have something to tell you guys." Cisco said
"Okay?" I questioned
"Hartley is gone and I let him out." Cisco said
I squeezed my drink causing tea to go flying everywhere.
"Dellie." Cisco said
"I'm gonna stop you there." I said
"Just let me-" He said
"Whatever the reason, I understand. I'm just gonna." I said walking toward the workshop
After a couple minutes, I heard footsteps walking in. I leaned against the doorway seeing Barry and Caitlin, poor Cait rocking the sunglasses and pedialyte.
"What's wrong?" Barry asked
"Cisco has something to tell you." Wells said arms crossed
"Hartley's gone." Cisco announced
"He escaped from the pipeline? How is that even possible?" Barry asked
"I let him out." Cisco said
"I'm guessing you told Addie?" Caitlin questioned
"How can you tell?" Cisco asked
She pointed at the broken to go cup and tea all over the floor, I rubbed my face before grabbing the paper towel and going to clean it up.
