Caitlin and I follow Cisco into the family home seeing multiple people here. I rolled my eyes, looking to see they went all out. "Wow. Your parents really went all out on the cake." Caitlin said
"Oh..well it is Dante's birthday. The most important day of the year." Cisco said "Probably tastes like trash." I said
"Mi hijo was invited to play Carnegie Hall when he was just 13 years old." Mrs. Ramon gloated
"They invited the entire band, mama." A voice replied
"That doesn't make it any less worthwhile." Mrs. Ramon replied
I rolled my eyes already annoyed. "Are there drinks at this party?" I asked
Caitlin and Cisco looked at me surprised.
"You want to drink?" Caitlin asked
"Can't deal with that sober." I replied
The man noticed us, smiling.
"Hey what's up, man?" He asked
"Hey." Cisco fake smiled
"Glad you could make it." He said
"Of course." Cisco replied
"Hi, I'm Dante." He said
"These are my friends, Caitlin and Adaline." Cisco said
"Hello Caitlin, Adaline." He said
"Happy Birthday." Caitlin said as i just smiled
"Thank you." He smiled
"Here, I got you this.." Cisco said handing him the present
"Oh.." Dante said
"I think you'll really like it. It's-" Cisco said
"Thanks man." Dante interrupted
I can feel my anger rising.
"Yeah." Cisco said
"Excuse me." Dante said leaving
"You understand now?" Cisco asked
Caitlin nodded as I felt myself get angry. The lights began to flicker, I shook my head snapping out of my thought looking at Cait and Cisco.
"Hey chill it." Cisco said
"My bad." I said
"I thought you were wearing both cuffs?" Cisco asked
"Both?" Caitlin questioned
"I am." I said showing both wrists
"Dante should play something." Mrs. Ramon announced
Everyone began chanting Dante's name before he finally went to the piano and began playing. He was very talented but his ego outweighed that. He was finally finished with the song, I stood by Cisco who was also annoyed and by an impressed Caitlin. I rolled my eyes for the million times that night.
