Barry and I were walking through the bowling alley.
"A bowling date, how original." I joked
"Oh don't you even, you know this is one of my favorite places and this is probably one of the only sports I can destroy you at." Barry said
"Oh is that a challenge?" I asked
"Maybe." He said
"You're on." I smiled
I pulled him in for a kiss.
"Hi guys." Iris voice echoed
We both looked over seeing Eddie and Iris at a lane.
"Iris, Eddie hey." Barry said
"What are you two doing here?" I asked
"Oh I thought it was time I brought Eddie to one of Barry and I's favorite places. Why don't you guys join us?" Iris asked
Barry and I looked at one another, trying to figure what to say.
"We don't want to interrupt your date." Eddie said
"No, it's cool. It'll be fun." I said
We put on our shoes and started the game, Eddie and I were just playing for fun as it seemed Iris and Barry didn't get the memo. Iris just bowled a spare, jumping excited.
"Do you smell that Barry? That's defeat." Iris said
"You never told me you are such a big fan of bowling." Eddie said
"Sure I have, this is one of my favorite places." Iris said walking past me
Barry bowled a strike, he jumped up in triumph. He walked back toward me, excited.
"I'm very impressed, Barty. You've gotten better." I said
"I heard the owner was thinking of selling, maybe we can get your friend Linda to write a piece about it?" Barry asked
"I could, but is bowling even considered a sport?" I asked
"I've wondered the same thing." Eddie agreed
Barry grabbed a handful of fries shoving them into his mouth.
"Well, hobby or sport, I am still better than you." Iris said to Barry
She wiped ketchup off the side of his mouth, I stood there shocked looking at Eddie who held the same expression. The lights began to flicker, I shook my head, wiping the look off my face. The others looked around confused but blew it off.
"Well I'm serious, a little bit of press, the lanes could be designated as a landmark or something." Barry said "Yeah." Iris agreed
"Oh Eddie, you're up." Barry said
"Oh right." Eddie said getting up
Iris cheered for him.
"Go get 'em babe." Iris said
We played a couple more, Eddie and I once again not doing the best. We finished the game going to put our shoes away. I placed my shoes next to Eddie when I heard his phone ding.
"I have to go, emergency at the morgue." Eddie said
"Bye." Iris said going in for kiss
"I should go." Eddie said walking passed her
"I gotta go too, they're gonna need someone from the crime lab." Barry said giving me a kiss
"I know, go." I said
"Well that was fun, I have to get to work. Bye Iris." I said grabbing my things
I arrived at the Cortex seeing Cisco sitting at the console, Wells watching a movie.
"A dead body." Barry voice echoed
"Barry, you're in a morgue. You're gonna have to be a little more specific than that." I said pulling off my coat
"The coroner, he's dead." Barry said
"Well shit." I whispered taking a seat
Barry changed out of his suit, saying he'll tell us more later. I sat down next to Cisco seeing him typing about something. "Isn't your brother's thing tomorrow?" I asked
"Yes, it is." He replied
"And you are not going because?" I asked
"You know things have been a lot better since i haven't seen them as often." he said
"Cisco, take it from me. Cherish the time you have with your brother. I miss mine, everyday." I said
"Yeah, but Mateo is cool. He thinks what you do is cool. Mine does the opposite." He said
"Next year, we are going to Dante's birthday party." I said
"You'd do that?" He asked
"Any day Cisco." I smiled
We sat there working on our devices, and I looked at him.
"I think we might have to make an upgrade to the cuff." I said
"Why is that?" He asked not looking
"I might have possibly flickered the lights at the bowling alley, even with the cuff on." I said
He turned to me.
"You had the cuff on and the lights still flickered." He said
"Possibly." I said
"Adaline, this is big, very big. What made your powers go off?" He asked
I thought back to the moment.
"Not sure. Could have been anything." I said
"Okay? Until we make the newer cuff, I need you to wear both." He said going to grab the other cuff
"Okay." I replied
"And sleep in the dampening room." he said handing me the cuff
I nodded, placing the second cuff on, feeling my powers dampen.
