I was sitting in the workshop working on a new prototype of the cuff.
"We are going to get dressed!" Caitlin yelled
I dropped the tool on my lap, burning myself.
"Agh! Caitlin!" I yelled
"I am so sorry." Caitlin cried out
"What are we doing?" I asked
"We are going to a bar with Barry, we are going to live a little." Caitlin said
"And don't worry you don't have to drink if you don't want to." Caitlin added
"Thank you Caitlin." I said
"Now let's go, I need to borrow a dress." She said
We drove back to my house getting ready, Caitlin was looking through my closet when I came walking into the bathroom dressed in a black long sleeved dress, completely backless and thigh highs.
"Oh my god." Caitlin spits
"What?" I asked alarmed
"Barry is going to drop when he sees you." Caitlin said
"Somehow I don't believe you." I said looking in the mirror
"What do you mean?" Caitlin asked
"I sometimes feel like Barry doesn't want to be with me. We've been on one date since my near death experience and nothing else. Yeah we hang out but I just need to know where I stand. Am I stuck in this zone or are we endgame?" I explained
"Why don't you just ask?" Caitlin asked
"Because he broke my heart once, I don't think I can do it again." I said looking at hands
"Well let's show him what he'll be missing." Caitlin said walking out in in a sparkling long sleeve black dress
"Yeah, let's go." I smiled
We walked in seeing Barry sitting at a table, he did a double take looking at us.
"Hey." Barry said before looking at our outfits
"What?" Cailtin asked concerned
"What? Nothing." You guys look... really nice." Barry complement
"I don't always dress like a high school principal and Adaline always looks amazing." caitlin said
We stared awkwardly at each other before Barry took a look around.
"So, this is where Shawna Baez and Clay Parker used to hang out?" Barry said
"It is, according to the files, I thought we could kill three birds with one stone. Look for them, you two have fun and for me to get back out there." Caitlin said
"Sometimes I feel like I'm just destined to be the ex." I said
"At least you're not pinning for someone who bursts into flames and wants nothing to do with you." Caitlin said
"What is wrong with us? We are in our 20's, we should be having fun. We should meet people, go on lots of dates." Barry said
"Well here's to liquid courage." Caitlin said raising the glass
She downed the drink as my eyes grew wide.
"Uh..that is...very fast...Drank all of it." Barry said
"Excuse me? I would like to start a tab." Caitlin said
"Wait, Cait." I said
A couple hours later, I was comfortable sitting at the table as Caitlin was laughing up a storm, Barry walked off to go get her water. Caitlin jumped to her feet skipping to the stage.
"Mr. Barry Allen, Come on down or up." Caitlin yelled into the mic
