Episode 14:
Seconds later, there was a nuclear explosion that went off, my heart stopped beating. I stared at the screen hearing nothing.
"Barry. Barry? Barry, what happened out there?" Wells asked
I stood up, stepping away.
"Are you guys okay?" Cisco asked
"I think so." Barry replied
I finally took a breath in, covering my face.
"Oh god, a nuclear explosion, there's no telling how much radiation we were exposed to." Caitlin said
"Wait, wait? This can't be. The Geiger counter in the suit--it's reading less than one millirad." Cisco said
"But that's normal." Barry said
"There's no radiation." Wells said
There was a moment of silence.
"Did it work? Did you separate them?" Cisco asked
"I don't know." Barry said
"Ronnie?" Caitlin said
"Uh, pardon me. Obviously I need a change of clothes." Professor Stein said
I smiled
"Nice to see you in the flesh again, Professor Stein. We're coming home, all of us." Barry said
Cisco and I looked at Wells, smiling, proudly. I grabbed on to Cisco's hand, squeezing while taking a deep breath. He squeezed it back, smiling.
"They are coming up." Cisco said getting up
I followed behind with a smile, the elevator doors opened revealing a smiling Caitlin holding hands with a very much alive Ronnie.
"Ronnie Raymond." Cisco said
"Cisco." Ronnie said
They did the bro handshake into a hug, I smiled looking at Barry who was looking at me already.
"I missed you so much man. I shouldn't have locked you in there." Cisco said
"Hey...don't." Ronnie said
He looked over Cisco's shoulder seeing me, a smile grew on my face waving.
"Addie? Is that you? In a skirt?" He asked
I laughed walking forward, pulling him into a hug.
"I wear them quite often now." I said
"You look happy." He said
I look at Barry.
"I am." I said
"Welcome back, Mr. Raymond." Wells said
"Mr. Wells, Caitlin told me what happened to you. I'm so sorry." Ronnie said shaking Wells hand
I walked over to Barry who pulled me into his side, keeping me close.
"I'm responsible for putting myself in this chair. You are responsible for me still being alive--thank you." Wells said
"You said you would bring him back and you did. Thank you." Caitlin said
"You're welcome." Wells smiled
"Excuse me? Are we all planning to sing kumbaya next?" Professor said
"Professor Stein, I presume." Wells said
"Harrison Wells. Do you have somewhere I can freshen up and get a change of clothes?" Professor Stein asked
"Of course." Wells replied
"Right this way, Professor." Cisco pointing toward the cortex.
Barry and I were still standing after everyone left. He grabbed my hands, and I looked at him.
"What?" I asked
"Let's go home." He said
"Okay." I replied
We walked into the cortex, Barry changed out of the suit as I grabbed my coat and bag waving at everyone. Barry picked me up racing to the house, placing me down to open the door. We pulled our shoes off, placed our jackets and bag down and walked toward the kitchen.
"So frozen pizza?" I asked
I turned around and Barry already had 4 pizzas in his hand.
"Sorry." He said
We sat at the table eating the pizzas, laughing about different things we were both discussing. After dinner I was cleaning up the box as he stayed seated.
"I'm going to shower, coming to join?" I asked
He nodded following. We get into the master bathroom turning on the shower, waiting for the water to heat up. He leaned against the counter as I took my makeup off, I wiped my face, rolling my eyes.
"What is it?" I asked
He looked at me, staring me over before his eyes met mine again.
"You know there were only two things that went through my head when I was outrunning the blast. One, get Caitlin to safety and two, I never told Adaline." He said
I shook my head, confused.
"Never told me-" I asked
"I love you Adaline, and I don't care if we've only been dating for a month because in my mind we've been together since Christmas and possibly before that. I told you I intended to keep my promise and I am. You are it for me, I knew it in high school and I definitely know it now. So once again. I love you, Adaline Garcia." He expressed
My eyes had tears in them as I stared up at the tall goofy, nerdy guy I fell for all those years ago.
"Say something." He said
"Say it again." I whispered
He grew a giant smile.
"I love you." He whispered
"I love you." I said pulling him down for a kiss
