The next morning, the four arrived at S.T.A.R Labs. Caitlin came up with an idea on how to access Cisco's memories. Cisco was soldering the pair of glasses as Barry watched, Caitlin and Adaline stood to the side talking over a few things.

"So this will allow Cisco to see into his dream?" Barry asked

"I got the idea from a journal article on lucid dream therapy. They think it can help people suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder." Caitlin said
Cisco laughed.

"Traumatized, stressed? Check and check." Cisco said
"The theory is that it will allow people to objectively enter their dreams and face their fears. Still working on the talking part." Caitlin said looking over somethings

"And you're sure this thing isn't gonna, you know, mess with my brain?" Cisco asked

Adaline's head perked up, now worried about her best friend's wellbeing.

"Oh, the amount of electricity required to trigger lucid dreams is harmless. Probably." Caitlin said
The four gather around the glasses once more, as Adaline and Cisco look at Caitlin uneasily.

"Who's going to be lucid dreaming?" Wells asked
The four look across the Cortex, to the man that caused so much.

"Um.. with all the meta-humans in Central City, people have been seeing some strange things--things that they don't understand. It's really just a matter of time before psychological issues develop." Caitlin lied

"And lucid dreaming will help the doctor better understand their fears. Intriguing. Of course, you will still need to guide the patient from the outside, right? Direct them to aspects of the dream." Wells said

"We're still working on the communications interface." Cisco said
"When we dream, the middle of the brain lights up with electrical activity, whereas the higher brain remains dormant. Once we find a way to make both parts of the brain active, then it's just a matter of finding the frequency that will simulate the language center." Wells explained
"Then the dreamer could speak, he could describe his dream." Caitlin said

"Exactly." Wells said
"Or her dream. It could be anyone." Caitlin said

"Right, it's not gender specific. I would try a frequency of forty-five hertz to start." Wells replied

"Thank you Dr. Wells." Caitlin said

"Well you never cease to impress me, Caitlin." Wells said leaving the room

The four of them watched as he left the lights slightly flickering.
"Dell." Cisco said

"My bad." She huffed

Her eyes shot from the door to the floor as she stared down at her shoes.
