The next morning Adaline woke up in the medical bay feeling like absolute shit. The door opened revealing Caitlin, smiling.
"Welcome back, how are we feeling?" Caitlin asked
"Like I just got hit by a truck." Adaline coughed
"You really scared us back there. I thought I killed you." Caitlin replied
"But you didn't." Adaline replied
"Your body will heal but you aren't invincible. You are still human, an extraordinary human but still human. You saw the tests." Caitlin pleaded
"I know, I know Cait, I'm okay." Adaline said
"Cisco almost called Matt." Caitlin explained
Adaline turned to look at Caitlin, in shock.
"He didn't, right?" She asked
"No, he didn't after he realized you were still breathing." Caitlin explained
Adaline let out a deep breath.
"Oh thank god." She mumbled
Caitlin stared at her friend.
"What happened?" Caitlin asked
"I ran into Barry and-" She stopped mid sentence
"And what, Addie" Caitlin asked
"It's nothing." Adaline said
Adaline lifted herself, hanging her feet over the edge.
"What are you doing?" Caitlin asked
"What does it look like I'm doing? I'm gonna go and get some tea from Jitters." Deadline replied
"No, you need to rest. I pumped you with a crap ton of sedatives. I legally can't let you drive." Caitlin said
"I can't just stay down here all day Cait, I gotta do something." Adaline said
The two walked back up to the cortex seeing Cisco standing behind the console.
"She lives." Cisco joked
"That I do." Adaline joked back
Cisco looked at her, seeing the dark circles around her eyes, she gave a saddened look.
"So what's the plan for today?" Adaline asked
"Well we are driving to the airfield today to test Barry's ability." Caitlin said
"We are just waiting on Barry." Cisco said
"That man is always late, being on time is Barry's early. If you need me, I'll be in my office." Adaline said walking toward the double doors
