Hours later they sat in the Cortex, Barry sitting on the medical bed as Cisco was working on a new device as Adaline had to run and help with the hospital.
"It looks like you had a distal radius fracture." Caitlin said showing him the x-ray
"Had?" Barry asked
Caitlin pulled up his x-ray from 15 minutes ago.
"It healed...In three hours." Caitlin said
"How is that even possible?" Barry asked
"We don't know.. Yet." Caitlin replied
"You really need to know how to stop." Cisco joked
"What happened out there today? You were moving pretty well, and then something caused you to lose focus." Wells said
Barry explained how he thinks that his mother's killer might be like him. The three felt for the speedster and left him alone.
"Does she normally close her doors?" Barry asked
"She likes to stay to herself." Caitlin replied
"She doesn't like her stuff moved, plus the messes stress her out." Cisco added
Barry was walking toward Jitters, seeing it in the distance. He looked up to see Adaline walking ahead of him in scrubs.
"Adaline!" he called out
She turned to see him, she gave a small smile waiting for him.
"Hey what are you doing?" He asked
"Just got done at the hospital, going to get a tea. You?" She asked
"Just grabbing a coffee." he smiled
"Then let's walk together." she said
"Okay." he smiled
They were talking about their college years when Barry got quiet, stopped in his tracks in front of the coffee joint.
"Barry, What are you-" Adaline asked
She looked up to see Iris and Eddie sharing a kiss out in the open, she rolled her eyes, confused on why they thought that was a very smart idea. The two pulled away from each other, Iris looked over and noticed them standing there. Adaline gave her a weak smile before turning to Barry who had a confused look in his eye. The three of them were walking down the street, Adaline stood in between the two feeling the awkwardness radiating off of them.
"You can't tell my dad. He doesn't know about me and Eddie." Iris said
"Doesn't seem like anyone is in on the secret." Barry said
Adaline looked down at her shoes, trying to avoid puddles.
"No one but Addie." Iris replied
Adaline damn near slipped when she heard Iris throw her under the bus.
