The two arrived back to S.T.A.R. Labs, Barry changes out of the damaged suit. Now standing before us trying to slip on a long sleeved S.T.A.R. Labs shirt with burns still left on his body. Ronnie and Cisco were walking out of the workshop, Caitlin walking toward him.
"Ronnie or Stein?" Cait asked
"It's me, Cait. It's both of us, somehow." Ronnie said
"Acceptance is a powerful thing." Wells said
"Powerful enough to reverse it?" Barry asked
He walks closer to me, pulling me into him. I roll my eyes, rubbing his side.
"We could try." Ronnie said
Ronnie walked toward the middle of the room, causing the rest of us to take a step back. He slowly caught a blaze, shielding my eyes. When I opened my eyes, Stein and Ronnie stood back to back, breathing heavily. I smiled, looking at Caitlin, who was smiling very wide.
"I think we're getting quite the hang of this quite nicely." Stein said
Caitlin walked over to Ronnie, hugging him tightly. Stein smiled at Barry and I, before looking at Cait and Ronnie. They looked at us.
"It's okay. I understand you have to go." Caitlin said
"How'd you know?" Ronnie asked
"I'm connected to you too." Caitlin said

The next morning we were standing in Stein's living room, seeing them off.
"Where would you go?" Caitlin asked
"Pittsburgh, maybe. Professor Stein has a colleague he thinks he can help us learn more about our abilities." Ronnie said
"We can help you here too." Caitlin said
"Eiling has already breached S.T.A.R. Labs. We need to stay one step ahead of him, for all of us." Ronnie said
I looked over seeing Clarissa and Stein saying their goodbyes, my heart broke for these two couples knowing this isn't easy. They just got them back and now they're leaving once again. I looked to Barry, who was watching Caitlin and Ronnie.
"I'm coming back." Ronnie said
"We'll have pizza." Caitlin said hopeful
Ronnie pulled her in for a kiss, I looked away giving them their moment.
"Godspeed, Mr. Allen." Stein says
"You too." Barry replies
"As for our earlier conversations, I believe in second chances. You'll get yours, give it time." Stein said
He turned to me.
"Adaline." He said
"Stein." I replied
"The power you possess, it is a strong one. You have tremendous control, especially around a certain person." Stein said looking at Barry who was saying goodbye to Ronnie
"The world will feel like a dark place, don't let it." He said
"You know I'm going to miss you, Professor." I said
"Please call me Martin." He said
"Bye Martin." I said
"Bye Adaline." He said
I pulled him in for a hug, then turned to Ronnie. He pulled me in for a hug. "Take care of her for me." He whispered "Take care of yourself for us." I whispered
We pulled apart smiling to one another, before Stein walked over to us.
"Ready Ronald?" Stein asked
"Please stop calling me that." Ronnie said
Stein grabbed Clarissa's hand, giving it a squeeze. "I'll see you soon." Clarissa said
Stein nodded before Ronnie and him made their way outside, we all followed. Ronnie placed the splicer on his chest before they merged, leaving Ronnie now. He turned to us, white eyes on display.
"We love you." Ronnie said
Clarissa and Caitlin looked to one another, smiling before Ronnie took off into the sky, flying off into the distance. I smiled knowing they are going to be okay.
I arrived home, sitting at the dinner table looking over some files when there was a knock on the door. I got up and opened the door revealing Barry standing there.
"Hey." He said "Hi." I replied
"I wanted us to talk." He said
I nodded letting him in, we walked over to the couch taking a seat.
"I'm sorry about tonight, I shouldn't have blown up on you like that. I'm just terrified that you may not come back from it." He said "And I'm supposed to be okay with you going out there and doing it. It's hypocritical, I need you to know. I'm not going out there to be a hero. I'm going out there to protect you." I said
He looked me over, nodding.
"There is one thing I learned tonight, Wells was telling Ronnie and Stein to accept what happened. Accept the change, accept the balance. I think it's finally time I accept what happened to me and move forward, use these powers for something good, maybe something great." I said
He nodded, he grabbed my hand kissing my knuckles.
"I need to do something." He said
"Okay." I smiled
"So dinner tomorrow night?" He asked
"In or out?" I asked
"Out." He said
"It's a date." I smiled
He kissed me gently before whisking out of the room leaving my papers going everywhere.
"I now need some paper weights for here too. Great" I said before going to pick them up
