I stood outside of the pipeline holding my hand and feeling my throat throbbing. I stood beside Cisco and Caitlin watching as Barry talks with Tony in the pipeline. He walks out, it closes and he throws his fist in the air in triumph.
"Dude, that had to feel great." Cisco said
"Dude you have no idea." Barry said
We began walking down the ramp.
"Almost as good as proving me wrong about the sonic punch?" Caitlin said
"Actually that part hurt, like a lot." Barry said
"You should have been there." I said excited wincing
"But I couldn't have done it without you guys." barry said
"All I want to know is which childhood bully are we going to take down next? Caitlin, Mine or Adaline?" Cisco asked
"Okay, yeah." Barry joked
"I already defeated mine, we were in the same nurse program. She dropped out the second day." I said walking away
"I vote mine then!" Cisco said following
"Let's get you to the medical bay and look at your hand and throat." Barry said throwing an arm around me
"What? Guys! This isn't a joke."
Adaline sat in the medical bay, trying to relax. After the medical induced nap, she decided against painkillers. Adaline's hand was wrapped as it wasn't broken so that's a plus but her throat was sprained and the muscles were strained. She was lying there when Barry walked in, a baffled look crossed her face.
"I thought you were talking with Iris?" she asked
"I did, we are all good now." He said
"That's good, I'm glad." she smiled
"I'm here to help." He said
"How?" Adaline asked
He reached for her cuff and started to remove it.
"What are you doing? Are you crazy?" she asked slightly panicked
"I trust you." He said
They stopped and stared at one another, both growing flustered.
"You need to heal, and the only way to do that is for this to come off." he said
"But I could hurt you. I could hurt everybody." she said pained
"You won't, because I believe in you." Barry said removing the cuff
The rest of the night, the two sat there talking about anything and everything under the stars including the fact that she gave Iris a new name for the streak; The Flash. What the two failed to notice was their hands never left one another. In the Time Vault, Wells stood in front of the floating screens watching the two interact. His eyes grew wide, a sinister smile growing.
"You found your anchor, Ms. Garcia." He whispered to himself
