To the moon || Luke Hemmings

Chapter 7

'When we get back from our road trip we're going to have to empty this room and throw at least half of it away' I said, looking inside the spare room.

It was going to be the baby's room, and after we'd talked for a little bit last night, we had decided to start decorating it as soon as we got back.

The road trip would last for about 3 or 4 weeks and we were still planning on where we were going to go.

Luke walked up beside me, wrapping his arm around my waist as he looked inside the spare room as well.

'We will don't worry. I don't even remember what's in all these boxes so I don't think it'll be too hard to throw it away' he said, pressing a kiss against my cheek.

'I know that some of them are filled with stuff the fans gave you' I said.

Luke frowned 'Oh, then it's going to be a little harder to throw it all away' he said.

'We'll figure something out, I promise'

I nodded and closed the door.

'Let's just focus on this road trip first' I said, walking passed Luke and into the kitchen.

'Yeah, I was thinking, maybe we should plan this road trip a little bit better than I planned the first one' Luke said, following behind me and sitting down on the counter.

'I mean, I know you don't like to think you need something extra but I think what you do need is a comfortable bed to sleep in on this road trip'

I opened the fridge, planning on just getting out some juice but ending up with the cheese in my hands.

Luke looked at me but didn't question me as I sat down beside him and carelessly started eating the last bits of cheese that were left.

'Are you going to stop worrying about me and the baby if we do that?' I asked.

Luke looked at my belly and then back to my face and shook his head.

'Probably not, but maybe I'll worry less'

I smiled and nodded, looking at the door when the bell rang.

'Alright, fine. but I really don't need to be in the most luxurious hotels there are. I always feel so out of place there' I said, opening the door.

'THE PARTY SQUAD IS HERE' Ashton yelled as he walked inside, followed by Calum and Michael.

I grinned and followed them as they sat down in the living room.

'So, how's it going?' Calum asked as I squashed myself in between him and Ashton.

'Everything's good,' I said, smiling widely.

'Although the food cravings are starting to kick in and I just can't stop thinking about chicken nuggets.'

Calum laughed and looked at the other guys.

'We can get you chicken nuggets once we figured out where we want to go on this road trip' Luke said.

'Deal, let's just hurry up then because I really need those chicken nuggets'

Luke nodded and took the little notebook that we were using to write down our plans.

Michael had gone to the store to get us a map of Australia as well.

'Alright, so we've figured out that we want to basically go in a big circle around the country.' Luke said, 'and we want to visit 6 out of the 8 states, and so far we have only decided on where to go in New South Wales and Queensland, so the next one would be the Northern Territory.'

We all looked at the map for a few seconds before naming some places we could go to.

This went on for about 4 hours, surprisingly without anyone getting distracted too much and in the end we had created a circle going through the whole country.

'Now all we need to figure out is how far we can drive on one day, how far we need to drive from one place to the other, and where we're going to sleep on the longer journeys because driving from Darwin to Perth is going to take us forever' Michael said, we pinpointed the places we were going to on the map so we could all see what he was talking about.

Darwin was at the top of the Northern Territory and Perth was all the way on the bottom of the country in Western Australia.

It was going to take us days to get there.
'Hey Cal,' I said, suddenly remembering something I thought of yesterday 'I was wondering, why don't you ask Chloe to come with us? I mean it's kind of unfair if Luke gets to bring me but you can't bring your girlfriend' I said.
Calum smiled and nodded 'I'll ask her. If everyone agrees and wants her to come along?' he said carefully.
Everyone nodded in agreement. 'You should ask her, you haven't seen her in 4 months either so I'm sure she'll want to come'
'Yeah, it's just that I'm not sure if she can. I'm pretty sure she'd want to join us, but maybe she can't skip work for this long'

'That's understandable, my boss wasn't very happy about it either' I said, getting up and grabbing my bag to see if there was any money in my wallet.
'Yeah,' Calum mumbled, 'but you're pregnant and you don't have to pay for college'
'What are you doing?' Michael grinned as I made my way to the kitchen and pulled some money out of the oven'
'Why do you have money in the oven?' Ashton laughed.
I grinned, putting the money in my wallet 'Well, Luke was trying to buy me something before you guys left and I told him not too but he really wanted to so I stole his wallet and pulled out the money so he couldn't buy me anything' I explained.
'He has a credit card hidden in his wallet though' Calum said.
I grinned 'I took that out too, it wasn't really hidden that well'
'What did he even want to buy you?' Ashton asked.
I looked at Luke who was rubbing his hands on his face in embarrassment.
'Gummybears' I replied, closing my bag and searching for my keys.
'You didn't want him to buy you gummybears?' Michael frowned, sitting up straight.
'No, because turns out I hate gummybears when I'm pregnant and Luke was convinced I'd feel better if I ate them anyway'
'Putting his money in the oven was a pretty smart idea though' Calum said, looking at the now empty oven.
Luke stood up and sighed, taking my hand in his and walking to the door.
'Let's get you those chicken nuggets now' he mumbled before turning back to the guys.
'Don't burn the house down please and do not open the second cabinet beside the fridge. It's haunted'

Sorry it's so late guys! I've had a very busy day and I had to figure some things out before I could update this and then suddenly instead of this chapter having 751 words, it now has 1175 words...oops...anyway, I hope you enjoyed it! :)
