We were lying in bed, Luke still fast asleep while I was wide awake.
He had unconsciously crawled my way during the night and was now sleeping on my chest, letting out soft snores every once in a while.
I was playing with his hair while drawing little circles on my belly, thinking about what our life was going to look like in a few months.
We'd be having a baby, we were going to have to get out of bed 60 times every night because we'd have to feed her, maybe I'd have to this alone if Luke had to go back on tour.
He hadn't talked to me about it yet but I knew there was a new tour on its way.
The question was when would it start?
We'd been fantasizing about how this was going to go, about him being there with me through everything, us raising her together at least for the first couple of weeks.
But what if the tour started earlier than that? What if he had to leave for the next tour and wouldn't be able to be here when I was in labor?
Luke softly groaned and mumbled something about squids eating my tampons as he wrapped his arm around my waist a little tighter and pulled me closer to him.
I grinned, and looked at the little alarm clock that was standing on my bedside table, seeing that Luke's alarm would go off in 5 minutes.
'Wakey wakey' I said, softly poking his side.
Luke groaned again but didn't wake up.
'It's time to wake up sleepyhead' I said, softly pushing his shoulder.
'No' he mumbled.
'Yes' I replied, 'Come on, the sooner we get out of this place the sooner we'll be arriving at out next destination'
'Okay' he said, before he slowly opened his eyes and lifted his head off my chest.
He looked at me and smiled 'Good morning' he said.
'Good morning' I smiled back, sitting up straight and getting up of the bed.
'How're you feeling?' Luke asked.
I crouched down and pulled our bag open, getting out one of my new dresses, some clean underwear and a bra.
'I'm feeling good' I said. 'my morning sickness is almost non-existent anymore so I'm feeling very good'
Luke nodded 'Good, what time did we have to be downstairs again?' he asked.
'Eh, in about half an hour right? 9:30' I said as I walked to the bathroom to change.
'Okay' Luke simply said, ending the conversation.
Neither of us liked to have a big conversation in the morning so I was kind of glad he didn't continue.
I pulled my dress over my head and walked out of the bathroom, seeing Luke just pull his skinny jeans up his legs and closing them.
Half an hour quickly passed by as we fought over who got to use the mirror first and ending up using it at the same time because it was big enough.
We got downstairs at exactly 9:30am and the other guys were all sitting in the lobby waiting for us.
'You guys ready?' Calum asked.
Luke and I nodded and after checking out of the hotel we made our way to the car.
'Who's driving first?' Michael asked.
'You are' Ashton said, throwing the keys to Michael.
Michael caught the keys with ease, as if he was expecting this to happen.
We all sat down in the car, Calum claiming the passenger seat and Luke and Ashton sitting down on either side of me.
Neither of them could sit in the middle because they were too tall, this instantly both blessed and cursed me because that meant I had to sit in the middle every single time we got in the car.
We sat silently for a while as Michael drove us on the highway.
Clearly, the other guys had just woken up and were still half asleep.
Moments like these were rare, moments in which all the guys would enjoy to have a little quiet around them, but that only made them that much more comfortable somehow.
I made myself comfortable by resting my head on Luke's shoulder.
Luke had made it a habit the last few days to rest his one hand on my baby bump and he would hold my hand with the other hand, playing with his ring that I religiously wore every day and drawing little circles on my belly. It worked though, it calmed me down way more than you'd think.
I smiled and placed my hand on my belly when I could feel her kicking.
'Is it kicking again?' Luke asked softly, almost as if he could read my mind.
I nodded, taking his hand and placing it where I could feel the baby kicking.
I felt it on the inside, but maybe with a little bit of luck, he got to feel it as well.
'I'm not sure if you're going to feel it' I said as I pushed his hand on my stomach a little bit more, making sure his whole hand was pressed in it.
We quietly sat like that for a few minutes, not feeling any kind of movement.
'Is it still moving?' Luke asked softly.
I shook my head 'Well damn' he said, making me grin.
He left his hand on my stomach for a few minutes longer, not ready to give up yet and just when he let out a sigh and wanted to pull his hand away, I could feel her kick again.
Luke stopped breathing for a second, before realizing that he just felt her kick.
'Oh my god,' he mumbled, putting his hand back where I had previously placed it.
'I felt that' he said, looking at me in awe.
'I felt it, I felt her kicking'
I smiled, my eyes growing wide when I realized he just said "her" instead of "it"
But there was no sound coming from the other guys, indicating that they were all fast asleep, except for Michael but the radio was turned on and he was softly singing along to it.
'That was amazing, oh my god' Luke continued mumbling, pressing a kiss against my cheek.
