'So wait, what was this thing again?' Calum asked as we walked to the entrance of the koala sanctuary.
'Well, the name says "koala sanctuary", it's pretty self-explanatory,' Michael said.
'There are more animals than only just koala's though'
'What other animals?' I asked.
It was Ashton's idea to go to this place so no one really knew what we could do or see.
'I saw some pictures of Kangaroos and snakes as well,' Ashton said excitedly.
'And we can hold the koala's if we want'
'That's awesome, can we hold the snakes too?' I asked.
Luke looked at me and frowned.
'There's no way in hell you have the guts to hold a snake,' he said.
'You once called me because there was a spider in the bathroom and I was on the other side of the planet'
'Spiders are scary!' I said 'Snakes are just really cool, I want to hold a snake'
'Have you ever even seen a snake?' Calum asked.
'Obviously I have, how many zoo's do you think we visited in the last couple of years because Luke wanted to see penguins'
Calum grinned and nodded, 'Right, I forgot about that'
We stopped walking when we reached the entrance of the sanctuary and the guys all paid for their own ticket, Luke, as usual, paid for mine.
We all got handed a little bag of food for the kangaroos while someone explained that we could take pictures of all the animals we saw, as long as we didn't use any flashlights and we were not allowed to pick the animals up on our own.
'Let's do this poo!' Michael yelled excitedly as we walked inside the park.
There was a huge field of grass in front of us, kangaroos scattered all over it, just casually enjoying their time in the shadows of the trees.
'I'm already loving this' I mumbled as I walked up to a few kangaroos in the middle of the field.
There were two bigger kangaroos and one small one.
I smiled, kneeling down beside one of the kangaroos and opening the little bag of food I had.
'How is she not the tiniest bit scared that they're going to kick her ass' Michael mumbled.
I looked at him and smiled. 'They wouldn't let any people near them if they were dangerous. I know they're animals and something can go wrong at any time, but the chance is bigger that something's going wrong when you're scared then when you're not' I explained, getting some of the food out of the bag and handing it to the baby kangaroo that had excitedly jumped my way while I was talking.
I sat the bag down in between my legs to softly pet the kangaroo while it was eating out of my hand.
'Hello there baby' I said, smiling widely.
I felt like a kid in a candy store with an unlimited amount of money to spend.
The baby kangaroo looked up when my hand was empty and I smiled, petting him again.
Luke sat down beside me and I smiled at him as he opened his bag of food and carefully stuck it out to one of the other kangaroos.
It slowly started eating, occasionally being interrupted by the baby kangaroo trying to steal the food.
I took my phone out of my pocket and grabbed some more food.
The baby kangaroo immediately jumped my way and started eating again.
I looked at Luke who was pouting at the baby kangaroo.
'Was my food not good enough for you?' he said.
I laughed 'Aw, you'll get over it'
Luke smiled, pressing a kiss against my cheek.
The kangaroo was done eating and I focused back on trying to take a good picture.
I started talking and making high pitched noises, making the kangaroo look straight up in the camera.
I laughed, showing Luke the picture.
'Aw, I want to post that picture on Instagram' he said.
I smiled 'I'll send it to you later'
Luke nodded and we stood up, looking round to find the other guys.
'Where'd they go?' I asked.
Luke shrugged and took my hand, leading me away from the 3 kangaroos and further inside the sanctuary.
'Oh there they are' Luke said, pointing at the other guys that were sitting with a group of girls and a few kangaroos.
I smiled, looking at the girls who were all trying to keep themselves from screaming in excitement.
'You should go there too.' I said, nudging him closer to the group.
'What about you then?' Luke asked.
I shrugged, looking around.
'I'll just go...sit with that lonely kangaroo over there, trying to win his love and affection by feeding him the rest of the bag'
Luke grinned, 'Alright, it won't be long I promise. Tell the kangaroo you're already seeing someone if he's trying to flirt with you'
I smiled, pressing a kiss against his lips before letting go of his hand.
'That depends, maybe he's better company then you are' I said, turning around and walking to the kangaroo.
I looked back to see Luke shake his head and trying to bite away his smile.
'I love you' he said.
'I love you too' I replied, watching him walk over to the other guys.
