'Omygod, this is not going to end well' I mumbled, anxiously looking at the floor that kept coming closer and closer.
Luke took my hand in his and squeezed it to get my attention.
'Listen,' he said, looking at the ground to see how much time he had left.
'We checked if this was a safe thing to do when you're pregnant and I promise you, I wouldn't have let you get on this thing, if I wasn't 100% sure both you and the baby would be fine' he said.
'Alright everyone, it's time to sit down now' the pilot said.
I looked up at him before focusing back on Luke.
'It's going to be okay, just sit down' he said.
I took a deep breath and nodded, sitting down the way our pilot told us we had to sit down while we were going up and down.
The going up part wasn't that uncomfortable, since the basket we were in was slowly pulled up straight, but the landing would be more bumpy and uncomfortable because we would bump against the ground pretty roughly and it also had to fall on its side.
This was one of the things that scared me the most about going on this hot air balloon.
Simply because I felt like if I accidentally squashed my belly or fell right on top of it, we would lose the baby. Plus I was alone and no one was going to help me protect it.
It took about 3 more minutes until the pilot started yelling that we were going to hit the ground and seconds later, that is exactly what we did.
Instinctively, I put my arms over my belly to give it as much protection as I possibly could while I was practically being thrown around the little bit of space I had.
I could slowly feel us tipping over, the opposite way of what the pilot said we were going to.
Causing me to hit my head against the side and, as I feared, falling straight on top of my belly.
I groaned as the basket stopped moving and instantly started panicking.
Luke showed up right in front of me only seconds after we landed and carefully helped me out.
'Are you okay?' he asked, quickly inspecting every inch of my body.
I shook my head, trying to stay calm.
'Are you hurt?' Luke asked, looking me up and down again.
'Everything okay?' Ashton asked as he stopped walking right beside me.
'I just...'I mumbled, my one arm still holding onto my belly while the other was holding my now pounding head.
'I fell on my stomach' I said.
Luke's expression instantly changed to a mixture of disbelief and worry and Ashton quickly took control over the situation, knowing he was the only one of us 3 to be thinking straight at this point.
'I don't know a lot about these things but I think your baby can handle a little bump,' he said 'does it hurt?'
I looked at my belly as if that was going to help me figure out if it hurt or not and shook my head.
By now, Michael and Calum had joined us and were all looking at me worriedly.
'I'm pretty sure everything's fine if it doesn't hurt. I mean, you'd feel it if something went wrong'
I nodded and looked at Luke who seemed to believe what Ashton was saying.
'I'm not a doctor but I think you're only just scared'
'Yeah, I guess you're right' I said, 'I hit my head too and that actually hurts way more than my stomach'
Ashton smiled, pulling me in a hug.
'Everything's fine' he said, 'Now go cuddle with Luke because he looks like we just told him you're growing a dinosaur in there'
I smiled and let go of him.
Ashton walked away before I could thank him and Luke instantly took a hold of my hand.
I looked at him and wrapped my arms around his waist.
Luke smiled but still looked a little worried.
'Alright, that was all the adrenaline I needed for the rest of this pregnancy' I grinned.
'I'm not going to do anything that is even slightly bumpy until this baby is born'
'Yeah, that's what you're saying now' Luke said.
I smiled 'I won't I promise. Anything that can cause me to fall over or get injured is a no'
Luke nodded, 'that might be the best idea, I'm sorry if we dragged you into doing this'
'It's okay, you didn't drag me into it. I said that I wanted to go myself'
Luke nodded, pressing a kiss on top of my hair.
'Where are we going next again?' I asked, trying to change the subject.
'Brisbane I think'
'Oh right! We were going to see koala's right?'
'Hell yeah we are' Luke grinned, seeming to loosen up a little again.
