'We have the weirdest friends in the world' Luke mumbled as he handed me the third letter.

Are you guys smiling again?? We sure hope so!
Now for the third part, we want you, Ivy, to go get yourself something you like.
Treat yourself to some new accessories, a new pair of shoes, a cactus if you'd like that. Anything you want.
Also, you have our permission to buy it yourself, even if Luke insists on buying it for you.

Luke, you should do the same thing. Get that game you were talking about the other day or new socks because the ones you own now smell like dead rats, or get something to compliment your lipring. Whatever you want.
And let V pay for her own things if she wants to!

I grinned, giving the letter back to Luke as he dropped it in the bag.
'How about we walk back to the shops at Victoria street, where we started and walk passed all the sheds and look for something nice?' I suggested.
We were currently standing on the F shed Laneway which was right in the middle.
Luke nodded and took my hand in his as we started walking back to where we started.
On our way there we looked at the little stores around us.
You could literally find anything on this market.
There were pet shops, clothing stores, lots and lots of places to eat, there were coffee shops and merch stores.
We walked passed everything, occasionally walking inside a store to look around.
Once we reached Victoria street and had decided which way we were going to walk, I looked up at Luke as he was looking inside the little shops.
'What do you want to buy?' he asked after a while.
He looked down at me and smiled.
'I don't know yet. I was thinking maybe a new ring. I do fit all my old rings again now but I can never have enough rings.' I smiled back at him.
Luke's smile grew bigger as he nodded 'I guessed you were going to say that'
'What about you?' I asked, as I noticed a few accessories in a store and dragged him inside.
'I don't know yet. There's not lot of things I want that you can buy in a store.'
The smile on my face slowly faded away and I nodded, looking at the rings that were placed on a table in front of us.
My mind drifted off to Lilly, her tiny hand holding onto mine, her little legs kicking around. Her lifeless body placed inside her coffin, waiting to be buried deep underneath the ground.
Luke once said that he would die the luckiest guy on the planet if we were to have a baby. That's the only thing he wanted.
'I didn't mean it like that' Luke said softly when he noticed my smile had disappeared.
He wrapped his one arm around my waist and carefully pulled me against him as I kept looking at the rings.
'I know, but that doesn't mean it hurts any less' I replied, instantly feeling like we were back to where we started off this morning.
'I'm sorry.' Luke said, resting his head on top of mine shortly.
We quietly continued looking at the rings. I occasionally picked one up to try it on and eventually picked a very simple, silver ring. The middle part of the ring was split open and the ends were curled up to the sides like tree branches.
'I'm guessing you want to pay for that yourself?' Luke asked as I walked up to the cashier.
I looked at him and nodded, a small smile spreading across my face.
He groaned quietly 'Please? Can I just buy it for you?'
'Why do you always want to buy everything for me?' I asked.
'Because,' Luke started 'I'm gone most of the time so you have to buy everything yourself then and now I'm here, and I don't want you to buy anything yourself because you've had to do that for months and not once, could I be nice to you and tell you I'd pay for it.'
I looked at him in surprise. I didn't mind buying things for myself, but I never thought he would feel bad about me having to buy everything for myself.
'So please? Can I buy you this one thing?'
I looked at the cashier who was patiently looking at us before I nodded and watched Luke's entire face light up.
He immediately pulled his wallet out of his pocket and paid for the ring before pulling me out of the store again.
I placed the ring around my middle finger and looked at it before looking up at Luke and taking his hand in mine.
'Thank you Luke' I said.
Luke smiled at me and shook his head.
'No problem'
'Now for your part,' I started, 'I kind of liked the idea of buying something to compliment your lip ring'
Luke grinned and looked at me 'What did you have in mind?' he asked.
'Well...I was thinking, what better way to compliment it then to buy you some lipstick. Like a bright red one or something. I think that would look good on you'
Luke laughed and just the sound of that and the way his eyes seemed to shine, made me realize how much I missed it, how much I missed him. And above that, how much I wanted us back to where we were when we started this road trip.
