I sighed, leaning my head against the window.
Luke was driving and the other guys had all fallen asleep in the back seat.
My hands were softly drawing little circles on my belly to try and sooth the stinging pain that still wasn't completely gone yet.
The time in between hadn't decreased yet but it didn't make much improvement either.
It worried me, it worried Luke, but there was nothing either of us could do except wait for it to leave. 'Do we need to stop?' Luke asked quietly, placing his hand on my knee.
I looked at him and shook my head.
'I'm still good, but if you want to switch with someone we can stop. We'll just have to wake up one of the other guys.
Luke shook his head and smiled at me.
'Nope, 2 hours haven't passed yet and besides, we both know that we can try and wake them up but they'll just be grumpy and we'll end up regretting it.'
I nodded and sat up straight, leaning forward to grab my water bottle that I had placed somewhere by my feet.
A new sting shot through my belly, followed by the feeling of something leaking.
I sat up straight immediately and took a deep breath.
'Can we stop anyway?' I asked, keeping my voice as calm as I possibly could.
Luke frowned and looked at me worriedly as I drank some water out of the bottle.
'I'm fine, I just suddenly feel like I do have to pee' I lied, looking out of the window nervously.
The sting I had felt slowly disappeared again and I silently took another deep breath.
10 minutes passed and we stopped at a gas station.
'It'll only be a minute' I said, looking at Luke shortly as I carefully got out of the car.
Luke nodded and watched as I walked to the toilets a little bit faster than I usually would, but not fast enough to draw any attention to myself.
'Okay' I quietly whispered to myself as I went inside the first empty stall and sat down on the toilet.
I looked inside my underwear to see it was almost completely covered in a clear substance. It looked a little like someone splashed water in it.
It wasn't my water breaking though, at least I didn't think it was, but somewhere deep inside, I felt that whatever just happened, wasn't anything good.
Taking a deep breath and closing my eyes, I forced myself to calm down.
It wasn't going to help anything if I freaked out now.
I put my hand on my stomach and looked at it.
'Hold on baby,' I whispered softly, not caring that someone could walk past my stall and hear me.
'Just hold on a little bit longer'
I whipped the substance off of myself and my underwear as much as I could and pulled my underwear back up before dropping my dress that I was holding in my hands to make sure I wouldn't sit on it.
I flushed the toilet and walked out, washing my hands and looking in the mirror.
My cheeks were a little flushed because of the adrenaline that had started to rush through my veins but other than that, as long as I kept smiling everything would be fine.
'Babe?' Luke said, knocking on the door.
I looked at it, a wave of panic bubbling up inside of me but I pushed it down.
Blowing up my cheeks and slowly letting out the air, I took one last look in the mirror and walked out of the bathrooms.
'All done' I smiled, not making any eye contact with him and just dragging him back to the car.
'Is everything okay?' Luke asked, softly pulling on my hand to stop me from walking any further.
I turned around and nodded, looking at his chest.
Luke, who knew me a little too well by now, quietly took my chin in his hand and lifted it up, giving me no other choice but to look at him.
'Talk to me' Luke said, looking at me with pleading eyes.
I bit my lip and shook my head 'It's nothing, I'm just scared' I mumbled, wrapping my arms around him tightly.
It wasn't a lie, I just left a few things out.
'I know you are. Everything's going to be okay I promise,' Luke said, draping his arms around my shoulders and pressing a kiss to the top of my head.
'Just take it slow and it'll all be over soon'
I swallowed, trying to push away my guilt because I wasn't telling him anything.
If this would go on the same way for the rest of the day, I would tell him. If this was just a one-time thing, I wasn't going to tell him because he'd be even more worried for nothing.
