'So wait, just so we're clear. The green pins represent the places we've been to during our tours, the blue pins represent the ones you and Luke have been to together, and the white pins are for the places we've visited all together.' Michael summed up.
I nodded, looking at the laptop I had in front of me.
'What are we going to do with the other colors?' Calum asked, looking at all the pins spread out on the table.
I shrugged 'We'll just put them away. We never had pins in this house and I do happen to need them sometimes so they'll be used eventually'
Luke and I had bought a poster with the map of the world on it and today was the day we were going to add the pins.
'Let's make a game out of it,' I suggested.
I hadn't been feeling very well the last 2 days so I didn't want to constantly get up to pin a pin on our wall.
The guys all looked at me, their faces showing nothing but interest as they waited for me to continue talking.
'How about I name a place that's on our list and the person who's the fastest and can guess what color we need to use, can pin it'
'YES! Let's do it!' Ashton yelled excitedly.
I smiled and waited for the others to agree as well before they all picked a sound they would use as a "buzzer".
'Alright, first place,' I said when all the guys were ready. 'I'll start off easy, LA.'
Instantly, all 4 guys starting making their buzzer noise 'Cal was first' I said when they all had gone quiet.
'We've been to LA multiple times so technically that was a trick question, but you were there with us last year so I'm going to say it's a white one' Calum said.
I nodded and smiled. Calum cheered loudly as he grabbed a white pin and he walked up to our map.
'Okay, I know LA is somewhere around here but I don't know where exactly' he said, looking at us over his shoulder.
I went to google to search for a map of America and we helped Calum put the pin in place.
'Next one is...Otorohanga' I picked another name from the list.
The guys made their buzzing noises again and I grinned 'That one's yours Luke'
Luke smiled and sat down beside me.
'If I remember correctly, there is a glowworm cave placed in Otorohanga. And a candy store where I bought you a life supply of gummybears,'
He pressed a kiss against my cheek and grabbed a blue pin, looking at New Zealand with his eyes squinted slightly.
He trailed his fingers down the map and stopped around the place where Otorohanga was.
'So I think this one belongs somewhere here'
He looked at me to make sure he was right before putting the pin in place.
We went on like this for hours.
I thought the guys would get bored eventually but they seemed to be enjoying themselves a lot. Constantly thinking of a memory they had with a certain place and talking about that until they were ready to move on to the next place.
Luke and I had made a list of all the places we had visited so far and I kept track of the ones I had already asked by crossing them out.
After all these hours though, no one was really following the simple rules anymore and instead of using their buzzer sounds, they started shouting memories.
It was fun, to watch them scream out the first thing that came up in their heads.
Until my eyes found the place I had been ignoring a couple times already.
A place I didn't really want to be reminded of but at the same time, a place where I would go back to in a heartbeat.
'Perth' I said, instantly getting that home sick kind of feeling.
Everyone went quiet and looked at each other, no one really feeling worthy of putting that pin into place.
Luke stood up and took my hand, pulling me up from the couch.
He grabbed a pin and walked us to the map.
'The place where you brought a beautiful little girl on this planet' Luke said, handing me the pin.
I smiled and looked at it, seeing that he had grabbed a red pin.
Sighing, I pushed the pin in place and looked at it.
If you looked at it this way, it didn't seem too far away from Sydney but in reality it was.
Luke looked at me and pressed a kiss against my cheek as his hand found its way to my back.
He started drawing little circles on it and I dropped my head against his shoulder.
'I love how you picked a red one' I smiled, carefully touching the pin.
Luke rested his head against mine 'I'll never forget the little red pony that was on her diaper'
I nodded, shortly pressing my lips against his before I suddenly remembered the other guys still sitting in our living room.
I looked at them as they all sat around the table, staring at us like it was the most interesting thing they had seen all their lives.
'You see guys, this is why it was such a good idea to make them a scavenger hunt at 5 in the morning' Ashton grinned, looking at Michael and Calum.
