Chapter 31

'So what have you been doing when we were gone?' Michael asked, looking at me curiously.
'Eh...Nothing special, I just went to work and tried to take some actual swimming classes. But I quit the swimming because I kept skipping it' I said.
'Did you see or do anything new?' Calum asked.
They were always wondering about this, for some reason they found it very interesting that I had never seen or done the most normal things.
'I remember when you guys got off the plane 2 years ago and you were pale white because flying terrified you but at the same time you had this massive smile on your face because you had never been on an airport before then' Michael said, making all of us grin.
'Don't laugh at me, airports are cool! But flying is scary' I said, smiling at them.
'That time we went to the hairdresser was pretty funny too' Michael said, smiling from ear to ear.
'That was not funny, I was scared the woman was going to ruin my hair!' I defended.
The first time I had visited the hairdresser, I told her exactly what I wanted and then I told her again, and again, and again, until she had washed my hair, combed through it and dead seriously told me she was going to get the dye to make it purple.
I jumped off the chair immediately and didn't want to sit back down until Luke convinced me she was just joking around.
'I think purple hair would look good on you though'
'I'm not going to dye my hair purple Michael,' I grinned 'Maybe you should dye it purple again.'
Michael looked at me and nodded before shortly looking at his phone 'Maybe I will'
I smiled and turned around, looking at Luke who was fast asleep in the backseat.
It was Ashton's turn to drive and after a few minutes of arguing, they all decided I had to go sit in the passenger seat again, seeing as there is much more space to move around and get comfortable in the passenger seat than there is in the backseat.
'Can we stop at the next gas station?' I asked, looking at Ashton.
He looked at me and nodded 'Of course,' he said 'I was planning on it anyway because I'm getting a little sleepy from staring at the road so much'
'How about I drive next?' Calum suggested. 'You've had your 2 hours by now'
Ashton nodded again and 5 minutes later we pulled over at a gas station.
We quietly got out of the car, trying to make sure Luke didn't wake up.
Michael was the last to get out of the car, but he didn't close the door yet.
He looked at Luke and then at us 'We should wake him up, otherwise he's going to complain about being hungry and needing to pee as soon as we're back on the road for 5 minutes' he said.
Calum and Ashton nodded, knowing exactly how he acted from all the rides they had to take when there were no toilets around.
'Wait, let me wak-.' I started, flinching back when Michael jumped back inside the car, right on top of Luke.
Luke instantly shot up, panic, stress and fear written all over his face before he realized what was happening.
'WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP WE'VE BEEN QUIET LONG ENOUGH!' Michael yelled, pulling on Luke's arm.
Luke groaned and pulled his arm away, using it to push Michael aside and get out of the car.
He rubbed his face in his hands a few times, trying to wake himself up while unconsciously walking over to me.
'I'm sorry, I tried but he was too fast' I grinned, wrapping my arms around his waist.
Luke smiled and looked down at me, wrapping his arm around my shoulders and leading the both of us inside the building.
'It's fine. When Mikey has an idea no one is going to talk him out of it. It's not possible' Luke said.
I smiled and we separated our ways when I went inside the restrooms and Luke went to look for some food.
When I got back, the guys were talking to a few fans in the back of the shop.
I smiled and decided to give them some extra time, I had to go find some banana's and some cheese because I couldn't stop thinking about either of those.
After I found both the banana's and the cheese, I walked over the guys.
'Hey,' I smiled to the fans they were talking too.
They all waved at me, big smiles spread across their faces.
'Give me your food I'll go pay' I said, the guys all gave me their food and drinks while keeping the conversation going with the fans.
Except for Luke, he was just looking at me to make sure I was okay.
I smiled at him once I got all the food in my hands.
'I'll be at the car if you need me but take your time here' I said.
Luke nodded, and watched me as I walked away.
I paid for the food, purposely not asking for a receipt and walking back outside.
Dropping the bags with food in the backseat, I took out my banana's, orange juice and cheese and sat down in the passenger seat.
I carelessly deciding to eat the cheese and my banana together since that sounded sort of nice to me.
