As she looked at her hands, using them as a distraction from looking him in the eyes, hestared at her in surprise. It'd been over a year since he'd heard anything about Kaila, let alone anything regarding her disappearance.

"You know what happened to Kaila? Lennox what are you talking about? She's been gone over a year."

"Just...let me try and explain. Please? I'm only telling you this because Caleb protected me when he wanted to tell you the truth. Sasha is dead because of me, he should've told you the truth. But he didn't. I owe him for that. But this is off the record, just between us."

"Okay."

"I mean it Jay. If anybody finds out about this they could be in danger too. I shouldn't even be telling you, if anything were to happen to you because of me,"

"Lennox, whatever you're talking about, I'm glad you're telling me. Okay? We can figure it out together. Nothing is going to happen to me. But I can't help you unless you tell me everything."

She sighed, nodding simultaneously as she thought about where to start.

"You have to promise me that you won't send me for a psych evaluation after this."

"A psych evaluation? What exactly are you about to tell me Lennox?"

His face had an expression of concern that would've left him with permanent frown lines if he'd kept it any longer.

"I just know how crazy this is gonna sound." She said slowly.

As much as she wanted to back out and go home, she was already there and she'd already started, so she couldn't stop there.
