This one's for JordynAdams1
Enjoy :)Damian shifted and stretched as he woke, bumping into Jason's arm which had been clasping one of Dick's hands. Which in turn woke the elder, who yawned particularly loudly... And suddenly all the bat boys were awake.
"How are you feeling?" Tim asked Dick, feeling a surge of protectiveness for his older brother.
"Feels better," Dick said with a tired smile. "The pain meds help a lot."
Damian snuggled closer to his brother's side, brows furrowed slightly. "There were a lot of feelings when you... earlier," he mumbled, his face half pressed into his brother's side. "I didn't like it," he finished quietly, rubbing at his eyes.
Dick let out a shaky breath, seeming to age a few years as the smile slipped off of his face. "I'm sorry you all had to go through that," he said.
"Apologizes for dying," Jason mumbled, his comment not having as much bite behind it as it usually would've.
"In the moment I thought you'd died..." Tim paused, taking a shaky breath. "All I could think of is that I wished I'd said I love you more often."
Dick reached over and grabbed Tim's hand. "I love you too," he said, tears glistening in his eyes. "I love all three of you so much."
Coming from anyone else, Jason and Damian never would've accepted those words, but from their older brother... he was one of the only ones who got a pass.
"I love you too," Damian and Jason echoed.
The smile that spread across Dick's face was worth it. He relaxed, snuggling into the pillows on the bed and allowing his eyes to flutter closed, surrounded by his family.

A blaring alarm went off in the cave, immediately waking everyone. The heroes quickly jumped into action, donning their domino masks and pulling on various parts of their uniforms.
Alfred glared daggers at Dick when he started sitting up in bed, the younger smiling sheepishly and proceeding to lay back down when he saw the look he was getting.
"The threat looks like it's coming from Metropolis," Bruce said, looking at the alert on his computer.
"Does that mean..." Jason trailed off as he glanced toward his older brother. The villain who'd caused the electric storm was coming to play in Gotham.
"How did she get past Superman?" Damian asked.
"Don't know," Bruce said. "It is easier than you'd think though," he muttered under his breath almost as an afterthought.
Tim snorted. "News reports have mentioned some sort of inhibitor collar... seems like she has some pretty high end stuff," Tim said, searching the web for any information whatsoever.
"I love playing with fancy toys," Dick whined, looking at Bruce as if for permission to come.
"You're staying here Dick," Bruce said, bringing out his 'no nonsense' voice.
Dick huffed and folded his arms. "Fine," he mumbled.
"We should be back soon," Bruce said, more to Alfred than Dick. "We'll keep you updated on the situation... and if we need help... call in the Flash or something."
Alfred nodded. "Good luck."
—
Dick managed to drift off again, and was reawakened by an emergency alert going off on the bat computer. He immediately jumped out of bed, much to the complaint of the wounds on his chest.
