I should not have done that

Reverse batfam and talon... noice

This one's just one of the random drafts that I had planned to add something else too, but gave up on :)

Hide and seek. Of course it all had to start with a simple game of hide and seek.

Bruce was nearly hyperventilating. "Tim... tell me, why on earth did you ask Dick to play hide and go seek with you?"

Tim shrugged. "He was bored... and he kept looking at me like he wanted me to tell him what to do or something."

Bruce dragged a hand over his face. "Tim, it's been 9 hours since anyone's seen Dick... he's an extremely well trained assassin. He could be hiding right next to us and we wouldn't find him," he said, keeping tight control of his voice so he wouldn't end up yelling at his son.

Tim looked abashed. "I... I didn't think about that..." he mumbled.

Bruce took a calming breath. "It's ok," he said. "We just need to find him."

Tim nodded and rushed off to continue looking for the acrobat.

Bruce mumbled something under his breath, tamping down his pride as he pulled out his phone. They needed reinforcements if they were ever going to find where Dick was hiding.

They'd searched the entire house...

Bruce had called in every member of the Bat family to come look for his youngest, but they hadn't had any luck. For all they knew he'd been moving around as they'd looked for him... Tim's explanation of what hide and seek was had been fairly vague after all.

Alfred had rolled his eyes about 30 minutes into the search, returning about an hour later with a plate full of cookies.

Dick dropped out of one of the vents a moment later, running up to Alfred and peering up at the cookies.

Alfred smiled triumphantly.

Bruce crushed his youngest in a hug. "Dickie, we were so worried!" He mumbled into the younger's hair.

Dick made grabby hands for Bruce to pick him up once he was released from his hug.

Bruce was more than happy to oblige the little acrobat, picking him up and balancing him on his hip. He allowed the tension to slowly bleed from his body. His son was safe.

Dick pointed over to Alfred's plate of cookies, and Bruce chuckled, walking close enough for the boy to grab one.

"Take note Master Bruce," Alfred said with a smug smile. "There are easier ways to find someone who doesn't wish to be found than simply looking for them."

Bruce chuckled, grabbing a cookie for himself. "Alright alright. You got me there," he said, smiling as he watched Dick enjoy the tasty treat.
