Evelyn sat on a ledge outside the school building with a perfect view; she stretched grimacing, her back still hurt from the night before; she probably should get the scratches checked out so they wouldn't get infected, but the salve she had applied would work, just as without having to make up an explanation. Evelyn knew that Deucalion's deal didn't guarantee Allison's safety, and with everything going on, she was ready to pounce the moment he broke it, especially since she knew Allison wouldn't stay out of the fight. She watched as Scott and his friend Stiles walked out to lunch; she couldn't see Issac, the twins, or Allison anywhere, which worried her; she knew how the twins operated, and she also knew Derek's habit of attracting strays. She had seen Derek earlier that morning when she had first arrived. He had been talking, some would even call it flirting, with one of the teachers. Evelyn shook her head to dispel the memory and the jealousy that came with it. She didn't have time for juvenile crushes. She was here for Allison. Evelyn reminded herself not to see her high school best friend again, the guy she'd had a crush on but had kept a distance because of what they were. "Scott," she heard Stiles shout. Evelyn looked up to see Scott running back into the school while Stiles stayed with Lydia. Allison Evelyn thought, darting off to follow the young beta.

"Scott," she shouted once she had entered the school only minutes after him. Scott ignored her, running toward a door blocked by a vending machine. Scott yanked the vending machine out of the way and flung the door open, rushing in seconds later. Issac was flung out and shifted into his wolf form. Scott rushed out, yelling at Issac Allison right behind him. Evelyn rushed forward at the sight of her sister. "Ally," she shouted, checking her over to see a bloody scratch on her arm.

"It's not his fault," Allison said, locking eyes with Scott over Evelyn's shoulder.

"No," Evelyn growled; "no, it's not." She turned to the other two teens.

"Now we know they don't just want to get us angry; they want to get someone hurt," Scott said.

"So what do we do now?" Issac asked.

"We get them angry," Scott told them.

"Use their bikes; the twins are overly fond of them," Evelyn said before starting to walk away.

"Where are you going?" Allison called after her.

"He's made his move it's time for me to make mine," Evelyn said, walking away. She knew what would happen if she retaliated against Deucalion, but she also knew the risks of not doing anything. Staying out of this wasn't an option anymore.
