Evelyn startled awake looking around to find she was in a hospital bed. Melissa she gasped sitting up no no you need to rest Argent said grabbing her hand. Melissa she said trying to push him off. She looked up at him terrified to lose someone else. She's going to be OK he said they all are. Lydia she asked. She's going to be fine everything vital was missed. Mason Evelyn rasped. They're all OK Argent said. But they're out Gerard could get to them Evelyn said panicking. They're going to be fine you need to focus on healing Evelyn you were shot four times. But Evelyn started to say. No no Argent said quickly cutting her off you almost died Evelyn I I almost lost you. Evelyn stopped taking in his words. Suddenly Malia and Scott burst into the room. You're OK You're awake Malia cried rushing forward she quickly hugged Evelyn. Evelyn winced slightly as pain lanced through. Sorry Malia said to tight. She backed up I'm OK Mal Evelyn said. Take him down she said turning to Scott do what you have to do. She needs to rest Argent said. Scott nodded grabbing Malia and leaving the room. I'm fine Evelyn said you need to rest Argent insisted. You heal faster than a human but you're not a werewolf and I can't lose you. Evelyn nodded settling back down into the bed fine she muttered but you need to go help Scott help him find others. Argent nodded getting up and walking to the door. Don't try to fight too soon he said.

Evelyn pulled herself out of bed her wounds weren't all the way healed but she wasn't feeling any pain thanks to the pain killers. She stumbled down the hall to Melissa's room. She knew she didn't have the power to heal her but it calmed her to see for herself that she was OK. Evelyn Melissa whispered opening her eyes. Hey I'm here Evelyn said. You were shot to Melissa said. Yeah I just wanted to make sure you were OK Evelyn said. Are you OK Melissa asked. I couldn't protect you Evelyn whispered. It's OK Melissa said grabbing Evelyn's hand gently I'm going to be OK. Evelyn nodded sitting in the chair next to her bed.

Evelyn Argent yelled searching the hospital he sighed when he looked into Melissa's room to find her asleep her head leaned against Melissa's arm. Shh Melissa said as he walked in she's finally sleeping Melissa said. How long has she been in here Argent asked. A couple hours Melissa said she wandered in here earlier and hasn't left since. Argent nodded taking  a seat in the second chair on the other side of the bed. How are you doing he asked. I'm fine they got all the bullets out and nothing vital was damaged too much Melissa said. Argent nodded. She's going to be OK Melissa said. He smiled softly. I know you're worried Melissa said we all are she's not exactly clear headed when it comes to fighting Gerard. He killed her mother Argent whispered. I she said it was a wendigo Melissa said. He let a wendigo into the house Argent said. Melissa looked down at the young woman curled into her side. That's why she hates him so much she said. And yet Argent said I think a small part of her still loves him.
