Evelyn rushed into the animal clinic. Deaton, she called out. She heard a low growl from inside. Scott, is that you? She asked, turning the corner only to be met with a pair of claws. Evelyn ducked. Brett, she heard several shouts. When Evelyn stood up again, she saw Satomi's pack in front of her, the alpha standing directly in front of her. You have fast reflexes, shadow Satomi said. Occupational hazard: Evelyn told her nice to see you alive, Satomi. You're friends with an Argent one of the pack members growled. Oh good, you're here Deaton said, entering the room. One of the young werewolves got injured with a wolfsbane arrow. Normally, I would burn it out, but I'd like to save her any unnecessary pain. Deaton showed her the small wound. Can you heal it he asked I should be able to, Evelyn said. This might hurt a little, she warned the girl, gently touching the wound. She focused on drawing all the wolfsbane out. There, she said. After a minute now, it'll heal on its own. Thank you the young girl said, your welcome Evelyn said, stepping away to allow a teen boy to join her.
Evelyn sat next to Satomi as they hid inside the warehouse. Suddenly, all the werewolves looked up. What is it? Evelyn asked. Someone's here, Brett said. He rushed out of the small area they were hiding in, growling. Brett, stop, Scott yelled, rushing after Brett. Evelyn suddenly realized who was there. She could feel that her father was close. Brett, no! She shouted, running after Scott. Brett, stop it's his place, it's his, Scott yelled. Brett backed off. If you were going to bring visitors, Scott, you could have called Argent said. I didn't know where else to take them Scott said. And you could have answered your phone, Evelyn retorted. This one, I know Satomi said he may not remember me, but we've met before. You can trust him Scott said as Satomi walked forward. I trust him. How do we know he's not like the others? Satomi asked. What others Argent asked. Last night, Kira said as Evelyn pulled out an arrow from her bag. A whole team was after them, Kira continued. Evelyn handed the arrow to her father. They used crossbows, she said. They're hunters, aren't they? Scott asked. Not if they're killing for profit, not anymore. Can they find us? Brett asked. They might already know you're here maybe they're waiting for dark. So we're not safe here, Kira said. We're not safe anywhere, Satomi said. We've been trying to get out for days. Everywhere we turn, we find someone new trying to kill us. If they're coming, Scott Argent said, then they're coming for you too. You're still number one on the Deadpool, and Evelyn, you're still pretty high on it, too, he added. I know Scott said I know Lydia can get the answer from Meredith. She just needs more time. Well, then, that's what she'll get, Argent said. How much time do you think we have? He asked, turning to Evelyn. What makes you think I know she asked. The gut instinct that has you here instead of with Lydia or Derek, Argent said, fully aware that she'd be with the other two if Scott weren't in danger. Evelyn sighed. Time is fuzzy with supernatural danger predictions, but I'd say nightfall sounds about right. Argent nodded then we'll be prepared when they come running through those doors.
Derek watched out of the corner of his eye as Evelyn and Argent began to set sensors and charges all over the warehouse, half his attention focused on her and the other half on assessing the pack in front of him. He still hadn't told her that his name had cracked the third Deadpool it was mean he knew to let her believe the reason why his name had disappeared off the list was because maybe Peter, probably being in charge, didn't actually want him dead but he didn't have the heart to tell her he was going to die she was going to lose someone else and there was no way to stop it. They'll be OK, Scott said. They've got claws and fangs, but they're not fighters, Derek told him. Walking past the alpha over to where Braeden stood with a gun. That's why I called you. Scott said well, try to remember I don't have claws and fangs anymore either Derek said. That's why he called me Braeden said. No, Evelyn said, walking up to the small group. That's why I begrudgingly called you. Derek looked between the two, wondering what really had happened. He knew it was more than just a little bit of jealousy that Evelyn held against Braeden. She didn't trust the mercenary, and he had a feeling that they had met before Braeden had shown up in Beacon Hills to save Issac. Am I the only one still hoping this is all just a false alarm? Kira asked. I mean, it's possible we could wait here all night, and nothing happens, right she asked. The others all looked at each other...Scott, you heard anything from Stiles or Lydia yet? Braeden asked. Lydia's still talking to Meredith; Scott said Stiles and Malia are headed to the lake house. At the lake house, Evelyn corrected. What Scott asked, they just arrived. Do you like constantly track us or something? Kira asked. Only when there's a bunch of hired killers trying to murder all of you, and you're in constant danger, Evelyn said. You get used to it Scott and Derek said at the same time. Evelyn punched Derek in the arm. Ow, that hurt, he grumbled. Welcome to being human, Evelyn said, smiling before she walked off to continue helping Argent. They're trying to stop it. Scott asked what if there is no stopping it Brett asked if it doesn't end until we're all dead. Then let's send a message, Derek said. Evelyn turned back around to face him. Let's make tonight perfectly clear to anyone with a copy of that list, he said. It doesn't matter if they're professional assassins, hunters, or an amateur who just picked up a gun. He continued walking back so he could see everyone. Anyone who thinks they can hunt and kill us for money is gonna be put on another list our. List they get to be a name on our Deadpool.
Evelyn sat next to Derek I know she whispered what he asked. I know that Lydia picked your name to be the key for the third part of the Deadpool. How'd you? He asked. Derek, I spend practically every waking moment with these kids. One of them was going to let it slip eventually. It was Stiles, wasn't it? He asked. Yeah, yeah, it was Stiles, Evelyn said, leaning into Derek. He can't keep a secret to save his life Derek said. They both looked up as they heard one of the sensors go of. They're coming, Evelyn whispered, standing up. Be careful, Derek said. Don't die, Evelyn told him. He chuckled slightly. What I gave up on be careful a while ago, Evelyn said, especially since you just being here, is the opposite of being careful. She jogged over to join her father at the opposite end of the building while Derek slipped around a corner, hiding.
Get back, Braeden shouted as smoke grenades were thrown into the room. Satomi pushed her pack into a corner, and Evelyn stood in front, creating a shield around them. Her father was at the corner, meeting the ex-hunters head-on. She had no idea how long she could hold the shield, but she had to try while the others fought. She had to try to protect Satomi's pack. As more bullets were hurled at her, Evelyn began to feel the shield weaken. Go! She yelled to Brett, who was protecting the others, as Satomi fought. I can't hold it much longer, so you must take your pack and go. We can't just let you die the little girl from earlier said. Lori, we have to go Brett said. Evelyn let out a cry of pain, falling back at the shield shattered. Go! she shouted. Go now. Brett grabbed Lori and pulled her away as the hunters came racing towards them. Evelyn pulled out her crossbow, firing quickly. She rolled to the side, hiding behind the corner. Suddenly, all their cell phones started to buzz. The hunters lowered their guns, looking at their phones, they all left. Evelyn stood up, walking out to the others. She fell into step next to Derek, his hand finding her own. It's over, he whispered. It's over, Evelyn agreed.
