Evelyn walked into the sheriff's station Stlinski had found two stray werewolves and she was currently the stations supernatural liaison. What do we have she asked walking into Stlinski's office. He has a deputy working for Gerard Malia said. The two werewolves in holding killed a hunter I'm just following protocol Stlinski said at the same time. And he continued I trust my deputies. Hold on a minute sherrif Evelyn said you may truly trust these people but I don't think you know the power that fear and manipulation can have on even the kindest most rational person. We've been over this already I have to trust my people Stlinski said. Trust them yes but not with blind faith Evelyn said. Why is this so big to you Stlinski asked. Because I've seen Gerard turn good people people I cared about into monsters worse than any supernatural creature Evelyn said. She stepped back as Scott tried to convince Stlinski surveying the new girl. Suddenly there was a loud noise from outside. What was that Lydia asked. Monroe Evelyn breathed.

Sherrif no Evelyn said as he headed for the door. Stay here Evelyn Stlinski said. I can't protect you out there she said and I can't guarantee they won't just shoot you on site. Stlinski looked back at Scott and the rest of the pack they need you in here he said. Stay here he walked towards the door turning around if I don't make it back he said tell Stiles. I will Evelyn said I'll tell him Stlinski nodded opening the door he walked out. Evelyn stood between Parrish and another deputy at the window. This could go horribly wrong she whispered. Or he could get them to back down Parrish said optimistically. You really believe that Evelyn asked. Parrish looked at the deputy behind her. Keep it holstered DeWitt he told him. It's Marcus Stlinski said he's back and he's out there with them. Evelyn froze. This is bad Scott said he knows all of the pack. So does Gerard Evelyn said. It changes nothing he's pissed because I chose the pack over him and now he's siding with Gerard for revenge.

We're gonna need help eventually Parrish told Stlinski as the others blocked the doors. Any help we call is going to risk exposing Scott and the others Stlinski said. If they see actual werewolves they're not going to be able to tell the good guys from the badguys Parrish said. And if Quinn is right about one of our deputies I'm not sure we're going to either Stlinski said. I have an idea Evelyn said. What Parrish asked. Agent McCall Evelyn whispered. Scott's going to hate that idea Stlinski hissed it's our only bet if we can get a message out he'll come for Scott and he's the only backup I can think of that won't backfire in our faces. We'll have to tell him the truth Parrish said he was going to find out sooner or later Evelyn hissed. They all looked up as the lights went out. I'm going to check on the others Evelyn said walking away. How easy is it to cut the power in a sheriff's station Malia asked. To easy a deputy said throwing Nolan on the floor. Everyone get down Parrish shouted Evelyn grabbed Lydia throwing up a shield as they both hit the ground. A smoke grenade went off clouding their vision. Evelyn instinctively pulled out her gun not her favorite weapon but the easiest long range weapon to conceal Lydia crouched next to her getting ready to defend herself. They said midnight Stlinski shouted. Evelyn looked at Lydia you okay she asked. Fine the banshee said. Jiang and Tierney Evelyn gasped jumping up she jogged over to the holding cell. Wolfsbane Liam said meeting her as she passed Scott he held Nolan tightly. he was trying to kill them Liam said. Scott there's something else you need to see Liam said. Evelyn took Nolan nodding to Scott who quickly followed Liam.

Stlinski's right Evelyn said walking into the office I mean we know there's those who make bad decisions that deserve a second chance. You mean Derek Scott asked. Derek, Peter, Deucalion Evelyn said you're not just a true alpha because you don't kill you're a true alpha because you don't give up on people no matter how dumb the decisions we make Evelyn said. They rushed out of the office at the sound of screaming and glass breaking. A warning Evelyn muttered seeing the arrow embedded in the wall. There was a peice of cloth on it. Liam rushed over grabbing it from Malia. This is Brett's number he said. They're trying to rattle us Lydia said. It's working Theo said as Liam's eyes began to glow. Suddenly there was a scream. Parrish and Stlinski rushed to check it out while the others regrouped. They all startled a few seconds later at the sound of a gunshot. What was that Scott asked before heading straight for the sound. Evelyn quickly followed. Lydia right behind them. It wasn't just panic Lydia said moments later looking at the dead body of the deputy. It's in here with us she whispered. What do you mean Stlinski asked. Whatever's causing the fear Lydia said the same thing that drove the wolves to kill each other its in here with us. Guys it's almost midnight we're out of time Scott said. I've already got two bodies I'm not giving Monroe two more Stlinski said. I have an idea Scott said. It's stupid Evelyn said realizing what he was thinking. But it might work she whispered. Ask Theo for the details Scott nodded walking out to find Theo. What's his idea Stlinski asked you should ask him Evelyn said and he's right you're not going to like it.

Everyone held their breath as they watched Scott, Theo, and Stlinski hand over the dead deputies bodies in place of Jiang and Tierney. Any one think this is going to work Malia asked. Evelyn glared at her I'll stop asking she said. Evelyn breathed a sigh of relief as Agent McCall showed up. Thank goodness someone got a call out she muttered. He came to a stop between Stlinski and Monroe as Scott and Theo stood up. They want all of us to leave Evelyn asked. Scott are you sure about this Lydia asked. I'm not this deal sucks Liam said. But it's the only one on the table Agent McCall said in a situation like this the best solution is always to deescalate it's why you called me isn't it. Actually it was Evelyn's idea I didn't think anyone was going to show up Stlinski said. Well Evelyn they had a specific stipulation for you they said since you are human with a human child and an Argent you can stay but you must cut all contact from the pack Agent McCall said. Great Evelyn grumbled looking at the ceiling just what I needed right now. You wanna tell me why they're being so nice to you Agent McCall asked. He won't kill me he'll kill all of you first Evelyn said. Take Lexie with you Evelyn said already knowing what Scott's decision would be I'll be fine I've been at war with Gerard since I was sixteen. OK Scott said as Evelyn stood up walking out of the room. We'll leave.

Evelyn stood with the others as they watched Jiang and Tierney being led away. Lexie's at your mom's house Evelyn told Scott you should be able to hide in the bunker for a few days. You know he'll come for you when he figures out we haven't left Lydia said. I know Evelyn said and I'll be ready.
