Evelyn sat in the clinic, waiting for the teens to call and say whether they had been able to save Malia or not. A beige-colored jacket slipped on over her earlier outfit. "You know who she is, don't you?" Deaton asked from where he stood across the room, organizing the medicines.
Evelyn nodded. "Talia told me," she whispered. "I don't think it was on purpose" she continued.
"You always have the habit of being in the right place at the right time," Deaton said.
"Yeah, and a habit of being in the worst place at the worst time," Evelyn muttered. Suddenly, the bell on the door rang out. Evelyn and Deaton glanced at each other before rushing to the door. If the others were back, that meant that either Malia was dead or she was human again. Evelyn came around the corner to see Scott, Issac, and Allison standing there. "Malia?", she asked.
"On her way back to her father right now," Allison said. Evelyn smiled.
"She'll need time to adjust, but I'm sure she'll be just fine," Deaton said, coming up behind Evelyn.
"So, all the hallucinations have stopped?" Deaton asked as they all sat around the back of the clinic.
"Yes," Allison said from the floor where she was playing with Lexie. Evelyn had picked her up from an after-school choir rehearsal a few minutes after the teens had helped Malia. The whole pack adored the small girl.
"Ant All" Lexie giggled as Allison tickled her.
"So the open doors in our minds are closed?" Stiles asked, smiling down at the girls sitting on the floor as Lexie squirmed away from Allison and over to Lydia, who, for some reason, was her second favorite.
"Yes," Deaton said "you should all be able to return to your normal lives now."
"What exactly is normal anymore?" Lydia asked.
"Umm," Scott said, looking around.
"This" Evelyn said "this is normal."
