120- New Years 1997

December 30th, 1996

Adrian and Miles were smoking a joint, the window opening letting the cold December air. Miles was looking at a muggle magazine seeing Emilia on the front cover. "Aren't you mad at her?" asked Adrian looking at the cover.

"No?" said Miles looking up. "Why would I be mad at her?"

"Because she's not here." said Adrian who was high. Miles softened his gaze, turning back to the magazine. "Just got up and left, doesn't visit."

"She does say she's busy." said Miles shrugging. "I'm not mad. . . I just miss her. Are you mad?"

"I don't know why she left." said Adrian narrowing his eyebrows. Miles made a face, turning to look at Adrian.

"She's always wanted to move to back New York, Adrian. She's doing what she loves where she loves. I miss her madly but i'm so proud of her. Look! She's literally on covers of magazines." said Miles softly. Adrian shook his head, turning out towards the window. "Plus. . . she'll come back. She can't be away that long."

There was a flash from the fireplace and out came Lucas. Adrian quickly hid the joint, smiling awkwardly. "Hey guys!" said Lucas. He stopped and made a face. "It smells bad in here."

"Oh yeah, we're having problems." said Adrian opening another window. Lucas made a face, looking at the two high boys. Miles snorted, sitting back.

"How's your sister, mate?" asked Miles.

"Hm, fine." said Lucas. "Still with that loser."

"He's a giant loser, isn't he?" smiled Miles.

"Miles." said Adrian with a face.

"He is a bloody loser, Adrian!" said Lucas.

"That's still your sisters boyfriend." said Adrian.

"Whatever." said Lucas rolling his eyes. Miles laughed, his eyes low. Lucas made a face, staring at the two. "You two okay?"

"Yeah." said the boys. They glanced at each other and back towards Lucas.

Joseph and Y/n were sitting in the cold graveyard in front of Cedric's grave. "Thanks for coming with me." said Joseph with a smile.

"Yeah, no of course. I've been wanting to come. . . I just— I don't know." said Y/n looking at the grave. Cedric came from behind it with a smile.

"Ew, you two are still together?" asked Cedric with a smile. Joseph rolled his eyes, turning to Y/n. "I'm kidding! How have you been Y/n?"

"Good, i've been good." smiled Y/n looking back at him.

"How— how are the others?" asked Cedric. Y/n glanced towards Joseph, quickly.

"Uh, good I think." said Y/n. Cedric tilted his head, looking at her.

"Oh." said Cedric.

"Anyways." said Joseph. "Where have you been, mate."

"Everywhere, im trying to see if I can leave Europe." said Cedric with a face. "I've been everywhere, being dead is boring."

"The oceans are too big, huh." chuckled Y/n.

"Very." said Cedric shaking his head. "What are you two even doing here, huh? It's New Year's eve."

"We wanted to visit you." said Y/n looking at him with a smile. "Wish you a happy New Year."

"Yeah, well thanks. Now get lost while I figure out how I can get across the oceans." said Cedric crossing his arms. Joseph chuckled, shaking his head.
