Today Europa has decided to give me a gift. Right after Lee pulled the river back a plume suddenly erupted, sending some material all the way to space. I've requested that Lee send in one of the drones to get a sample from the plume. I am hoping this sample confirms what I thought I once knew, that the oceans of Europa are made of salty, liquid water.
Now there is nothing to do but wait for the data of the sample to come in. The whole crew will be on standby waiting for my analysis. I hope I do not have to disappoint them.
When we accepted this mission, we knew there would be no guarantee we would discover anything. Still, finding out this early would be devastating. That sample cannot come in soon enough.
