Yesterday I spent most of the day by myself, but today I tried to integrate with the rest of the team. The morale is pretty low in here, except for Lee who I believe pulled an all-nighter playing video games.
I was surprised that they allowed us to all be together for this quarantine. I guess the thought process is to allow for a little extra team bonding before the actual mission. I guess it also makes sense since the goal of this quarantine is just to isolate the astronauts from any potential viruses. It doesn't make much of a difference if we're apart or together.
The dynamic in the quarantine area is honestly pretty strange. We all know each other. We've been together for a while, and yet none of us have ever really seen how we act outside of a work setting. Now that there's no constant structure like there was in quarantine everything feels a bit awkward. It doesn't help that most of us are in a completely miserable mood after having to say goodbye to our families.
Still, being around company helps. Being there with everyone made it a lot easier than when I was in my room all by myself.
