I have not written in a few days, mostly because there has not been much to write about. The setup at the first drilling location has seemed to hit a standstill. The crew members there insist all is well, but I'm beginning to get worried.
As for me, I feel like I've reached a level of fitness similar to where I was at before my depressive bout. I am glad that I was able to improve my mental state when I did. If it had lasted longer, I don't know if it may have been too late. The gravity on Europa has helped. It quite literally grounds me.
The gravity also makes training on the equipment more efficient. Being able to enjoy the additional foods allowed now that we are on the ground also helps make it easier to eat. Commander Hunt is right. The sloppy joe has exceeded my expectations! I just hope it doesn't get old.
Unfortunately, since the drill is still not operational there's not much for me to do. There are no new samples for me to analyze and as a result I've had nothing but free time when I haven't been in the gym, which has also been a good motivator for me to spend more time at the gym.
Miller has regularly checked on me through the comms. I appreciate the concern for my health, but at this point I just want to get my hands dirty for this mission. I'd already given my life on Earth up to be here. I wanted it to mean something.
