We have been in contact with NASA all morning. Like when the members of the Chinese team, no one seems to believe you when you start talking about a giant monster destroying the base. We had to send a couple messages back and forth but eventually they finally accepted we were telling the truth, and this was not one of those group hallucination situations.

Lee flew by with one of the drones today to get a better look at the beast, but it was gone. It must have sunk back into the cracks where it came from as if it were never there.

I suspect the creature was irritated by the noise of the drills. There was no atmosphere for sound to travel in the atmosphere but the waves from the drilling could travel long distances from the ocean.

The good news, if there is any that can be taken from this, is that the beast does not seem interested in humans directly, only the loud machines we were using to conduct this mission. For the rest of the duration of the mission we will be spending our time at the main camp. It is the only camp that has not been destroyed from the Kaiju or the ice quakes.

Being that it is set on a rocky point of the surface and notice it should be safer, although it is hard to say anything is safe from that thing. There is no question that the creature we encountered is the apex predator of Europa. Everything else about it is pure speculation and will stay speculation for some time. That creature is out of the scope of this mission. All it proves is that life here is grander and more complicated than we ever could have imagined.
