Sevyn and Von hung around the same people but did not like each other. But they were just cordial. Until Von's birthday came up and Sevyn was the only friend of his that remembered.

Sevyn POV
Los Angeles, California August 9th Sunday, 1:01 p.m.
Me and Von finished eating and I paid the bill as my treat for his birthday. And I'll pay for his birthday dinner too. Talking with him while we ate and seeing how he doesn't even wanna remind anyone it's his birthday made me feel like I have to do the most for today.
This is all he has. And I'll make this money back so it doesn't matter to me. As long as Von feels like SOMEONE cares about him and his birthday.
We went back to my house and we went to my room.
"You got anywhere else you wanna go today? I'll go with you if you want me to." I said closing the door behind myself.
"Nah im good. Ion want you spendin no more money on me lil folks." He said.
"It's fine Dayvon. It's your day." I said going to my closet and taking off my shoes. Placing them back where they belong.
"Nah ma it's good. I ca lay a lil further on yo bed?" He asked.
"Yeah of course. Make yourself comfortable." I said closing the closet door. I put on some sweatpants and a graphic t shirt and my teddy bear slippers and came out.
"You got weed in hea? You wanna roll up a sum?" He asked.
"I don't really smoke like that. I got edibles." I said sitting at my vanity taking off my lashes.
"Whatever you got lil folks. Let's just get high." He said and i got up and went to my dresser and opened the jar of gummies. I get my edibles from a dispensary. They are way more potent that way. I got a pink gummy and gave Von a green gummy.
And we looked at each before putting it in our mouths. I quickly swallowed because these do not taste good at all. But they will have you high out of your mind. I swallowed and chugged some water which Von snatched from me drinking the rest of the bottle to get the bad taste out of his mouth and I laughed.
I grabbed the remote turning the TV on and threw him the remote and sat back down at my vanity.
While he flipped through the channels searching for something to turn on i took off my makeup and rinsed my face.
"Why you'on wear no makeup more often?" Von asked as I came out the bathroom.
"I just like doing my makeup. I don't think im ugly or anything." I said laughing and turning the lights off in the room. Which left it very dark due to my black out curtains.
"I get that. But you look good wit out makeup." He said going on his phone and i looked at him for a little just taking in his features.
Maybe it's the edible kicking in that's making me look at Von a certain way. Because otherwise I wouldn't look twice at him.
"Whatchu starin at ma?" Von said chuckling looking at me and I rolled my eyes.
"Please nobody was looking at you." I said sitting up going on my phone.
"I gotta question." He said.
"Shoot." I said.
"What happened to that nigga you used to fuck wit. Yall was so in love shit used ta get on ma damn nerves." He said.
"We broke up like 4 months ago." I said.
Dayvon POV
To hear they been broke up made me kinda happy. I never really paid too much attention to Sevyn but I did see I didn't like the way he acted towards her.
I would see him constantly trying to argue with her in the hallways. Trying to say things to clearly provoke her. But Sevyn never broke character. Makes me wonder what she's like when she's mean. She can't be nice ALL the time.
"Why?" I asked.
"He cheated on me. Well...Amiri said I overreacted. He kissed another girl that goes to our school." She said and I couldn't help but laugh a little bit.
I have done WAY worse to Asian and she still stayed. Him kissing another girl is like kid shit to me.
"You had sex with him? Cause im lookin atchu a certain way if you did. The nigga ain't even have no money." I said making her laugh.
"No thank God. You have no idea how close I was to sleeping with him though. I never had...intercourse with someone before. So me even considering it was a big deal for me." She said.
"Oh shit. You a virgin?" I said with raised eyebrows and she looked offended.
"Who did you think I slept with? I'm really taking offense to that." She said laughing.
"I just assume no girl is a virgin now. And that's crazy I neva knew that. I guess it makes sense I neva did hear you talking about sex with Amiri and Nala. Or like at all." I said thinking about it now.
"I'm not really into sexual things-I mean. Maybe when I find my person it'll be like that." She said shrugging.
"When did you lose your virginity?" She asked.
"When I found out what sex was." I said and she scrunched up her face looking at me making me laugh.
"Im playin. I lost it when I was 15. Some girl. I still be fuckin wit." I said truthfully.
"Oh." She said sounding disappointed.
"Why you—"
"I just thought you were loyal to Asian." She said shrugging.
"I mean. Ion trust no bitch. Ion put nun past nobody. She prolly cheatin on me." I said and she nodded.
"I understand but I don't. How you feel is how you feel." She said.
We started focusing on the movie but I was tryna move closer to Sevyn. Maybe it's the high but goddamn she was looking good as fuck to me.
Maybe it's because I see her in her natural state right now. Without the makeup and the lashes or outfits. Just sweatpants, t shirt. She had baby pink polish on her toes not the basic ass white toes. And her hair a little curly and in a clip with some loose hairs.
I never noticed how pretty she is.
I don't know if she notices me tryna get closer to her. But I'mma still try to get closer.
"Yo come closer what the hell." I finally said and she raised her eyebrows and laughed. And she scooted closer and I pulled her legs over me. I could physically see her getting nervous.
"Why you nervous ma? Whatchu thinkin?" I asked wit a smirk.
"You never uh...touch me?...am I being awkward? I'm sorry." She said apologizing and trying to move herself but I stopped her.
"You good. Ion know whatchu nervous fa." I said. I actually find it cute that she's nervous.
"I just...you have a girlfriend Von. I think she'd find it weird that you were even in my room right now." She said moving her legs.
"The same "girlfriend" that forgot my damn birthday." I said sitting up.
"I'm sure she didn't mean to, and it's just a misunderstanding. And I don't want to overstep any boundaries." She said and I just looked at her. I don't know why I find her so fuckin' pretty now.
"You good Sevyn." I said and she finally looked at me.
"I don't wanna come in between anyone's relationship. I'm not a homewrecker Von." She said and I got tired of her talking and grabbed her neck and kissed her.
