A/n: y'all like dilf L, I like dilf L, you're getting dilf L. Partly inspired by the fact fictive L straight up adopted two kids in the system.

The only catch to moving the taskforce permanently to a HQ was the fact it meant the case was permanently stationed in Japan for a long period of time. Things hadn't gone to plan, L was going to be on this case for maybe even years at this point. So, he begrudgingly allowed for you and your daughter to come to Japan and resume life with him there. Of course there were strict rules, no real names, no interacting with sketchy people, don't give out any sensation details etc.

The taskforce were flabbergasted to say the least, finding out L had a partner and kid this whole time. When you and your daughter who'd been given the alias Dolly had shown up and practically tackled L into a hug they had no idea what to make of it. They couldn't see L kissing someone let alone producing a child. Turns out the last part was on the money, because Dolly was adopted, but still-

L wasn't going to give out any details on his family that weren't tiny ones that wouldn't be a risk. All he'd explained was that yes, he had a long term partner, yes he had a daughter, no she wasn't biological, she was rescued on one of his old cases and he got attached.

But that was it, all other information was under lock and key. Understandably there'd be no cameras in the room of a 14 year old girl, so the only glimpses of what she was like when her guard was down and she didn't have to stay secretive were the things visible from the cameras in the lounge and kitchen of your shared family floor. She was tomboyish in personality, but girly in style and hobbies.

She often read those tween magazines you find in newsagents, listened to her CDs and danced around the room, made various types of smoothies as snacks. But recently her favourite pastime seemed to be complaining of boredom. Which, who could really blame her? She was in a new country with no friends to hang out with yet. She had to be secretive about herself. While she was old enough to be riding around the local area to parks or shops, L didn't want her out and about alone with suspects being around.

So she'd resorted to bothering her dad about it.

You'd gone out to run some errands, leaving L to deal with your rowdy daughter.

Having finished her latest magazine, she wandered into the main office and flopped herself over the back of the sofa, tumbling onto it with a groan.

"Ddaaadddd I'm bored..." she complained.

"I know honey" L replied, used to this by now.

"Can we go play tennis?"

"Later, I have to finish these reports first"

"Uugghhhh..."

That was something she and L often did together, tennis. They both learnt it young so they could run a game for hours and hours undisrupted. But it'd been a while since their last match, having been separated for months and now they were together again, L having to do a million case things.

"Go read your magazines, you have tons of them" L suggested.

"I finished them all!" She replied.

L sighed, turning to face his daughter flopped over the couch practically upside down.

"How ladylike" he joked.

"I'm no lady I'm 14. I'm a foetus" she replied.

"You'll hurt your back like that"

"You're one to talk mister squiggle spine"

L rolled his eyes and shook his head, typical sass from the teenage daughter. She had a no filter that girl, but neither you or L really cared. She wasn't a mean person so the worst she could do is call you a dumbass.
