Kai's POV

We were fighting, when all of a sudden Zane froze everything with his spinjitzu, causing me to trip.

"This roof isn't big enough for the four of us," I said irritated.

"Correction. This roof isn't big enough for him," Cole said.

"It's like he's in his own world," Jay said.

"I bet he can't even hear us," he said loudly.

"I can hear you perfectly well. I do not have a hearing problem," Zane said obviously not getting what we were trying to say. He quickly went back to ignoring us.

"Sensei, Zane's weird," I said. I wasn't trying to be rude. I was only telling the truth.

"What is weird? Someone who is different, or someone who is different than you," sensei Wu said.

"No, sensei. He's weird weird," Cole said.

Sensei Wu gave us looks, and I sighed.

"One time he walked into the restroom, when I was using it," Cole said in an attempt to explain what he meant.

"Yeah, and when me, him, and Nya were watching that movie. The one that made everyone cry. Zane laughed when they broke up," Jay added.

"And when I went to get a midnight snack, I caught him in the freezer. Like actually inside the freezer," I said.

"We like the guy, he's really smart. He's just a little off sometimes," I said.

"Zane is a brother, and brother's are often different. I should know," sensei Wu said.

The doorbell rang and we all came running. It was mail!

Jay got a letter from his parents. I got a fan letter. And Cole got something from his father.

I quickly read my letter. I'd been hoping for something else, but I was fine without it. I still loved fan mail. It made me feel like I was amazing and loved by everyone. Although I wasn't loved by everyone, and I was only mostly amazing.

"Hey, Zane, how come you never hear anything from your parents," Jay asked.

"I don't remember my parents. I've been an orphan my whole life," Zane said. I immediately felt bad for him. I'd also been an orphan my whole life, well most of it. But at least I remembered my parents. And I had my sister. I couldn't imagine being alone my entire life.

"You mean you've never had a home," I asked, feeling sorry for Zane. Zane shook his head sadly.

"The monastery is your home now," Wu said. Zane walked away looking upset.
