Chapter 73: A Heart To Heart

Cole's POV

"Haha! We did it!" Jay and Hebi said at the same time. They then looked at eachother with confused expressions.

"Did we just-" they asked at the same time. "Stop copying me! No, you stop copying me! Er. Potato waffle unicorns! How- Are we stuck this way?"

"I hope not-" me and Kai began before giving eachother a look.

"It's a disease!" Lloyd exclaimed. I smiled. He was starting to act less freaked out.

"It's not a disease," Kai said.

"See?" We both said before sighing.

"Actually Cole did it," Kai said. We all blinked.

"Did what?" Jay and Hebi asked before sighing.

"What you were just talking about. Cole, because of you Ninjago will sleep safely tonight."

"Thanks, but go on and celebrate without me," I said. "Winning this just doesn't feel the same without my dad being able to-"

"Cole!" Dad said.

"Dad?"

"I saw it all, son. I saw it all." We hugged.

"You saw me dance?" I asked even though I didn't really dance.

"More importantly I saw you fight. Those serpentine were up to no good, trying to steal the show, and I saw you stand up for what is right. I was wrong. I shouldn't have pushed you so hard to follow in my footsteps. Everyone is born with a special talent inside that's just waiting to get out. And you were born to be a ninja."

"You're not mad?"

"How can I be? My son's a hero!"

"Eh, sorry to interrupt your little family reunion, but did you know? It's me, Pythor!" Pythor said, pulling off his beard. Lloyd quickly hid behind Hebi.

"You couldn't fool us, Pythor," I said.

"Yeah, it was kinda obvious. I mean you didn't even try to hide your serpentineness," Jay and Hebi said.

"Have you two just given up?" Kai asked. They nodded.

"I didn't want you to miss our big show stopper!" Pythor said motioning towards some constrictai who pushed some boxes towards some lights which then started falling on top of dad.

"Dad!" I screamed as I ran to save him. I was then crushed by the lights.

I began to glow and used my super strength to push the lights off me and dad. I helped dad up.

"Wha-what? How did we survive that? Son?" He asked.

"Cole's found his true potential!" Jay and Hebi said.

"It's must've been his daddy issues that we're holding him back," Hebi said. By herself. "Yes! I can talk normally again!"

"He's indestructible!" Jay said. "Huzzah!"

"Ugh, great. So now I really am the only one who hasn't found my special power," Kai said.

"There's a chance Zane hasn't. Wherever he is," Hebi said before sighing.

I groaned, grabbing my head.

"Is everyone alright? What just happened?" I asked.

"We're all okay, son," dad said.

We all talked about me getting my true potential over tea.

"I guess the scorecard now reads, 'Pythor: two fangblades Ninja: zero'," Jay said.

"Yeah, but all we need is one and there are still two left to find," I said.

"Who knows? Maybe when I unlock my true potential I'll turn into the destined green ninja!" Kai said.

"The only thing you're destined for is a more inflated ego," I said. Hebi chuckled. Dad walked in, holding a picture.

"It may not be a trophy, but it sure will look good on my wall," he said. He put the picture up.

It was a picture of us posing with the blade cup.

"Alright!"

"Awesome!"

"Amazing!"

"Cool!" We all said.

"As far as I'm concerned you're all family now," dad said. We all hugged.

All of a sudden Molly stormed in with the falcon.

"Zane's being controlled by the serpentine!" She said.
