Hebi's POV

"I can't believe you hypnotized one of the ninja. Doesss the general know?" asked a hypnobrai, whose name I forgot.

I was spying on them for fun. It was easy, since no one noticed me. I would often scare them, and that's what I was planning to do until I heard that.

Scale's hypnotized one of the ninja? Which one? I decided to stay silent until I got some answers.

"Of coursssse not. He'ssss been put under the control of Lloyd, and I plan to ussssse it for my best interesssst," Scales said.

Under the control of Lloyd? What was he talking about? Lloyd wasn't a hypnobrai. I decided I would ask him.

"Everyone workssss while you two sssssslack? Asssss my ssssssecond in command I expect more from you, Sssscales," said the general.

"Yesssss, general," Scales said.

After a couple of seconds he began to talk again.

"General, you know I am mossssst loyal to you, but I musssst question thissss childish agenda. The ninja have sssstolen our ssssstaff, yet you inssssstruct your army to make thisssss playhouse for Lloyd? Ssssnakesssss don't belong in treesssss."

"You know better than to question my judgement, Ssssscales. I'll pretend you didn't asssssk," the general said.

"Hey! If we plan to rule Ninjago from here this elevator needs to have a trap door. I want more booby traps!" Lloyd yelled to the general.

"As you wish, young Garmadon," the general said as he motioned Scales to get to work.

"As you wish, general," Scales said. Why was everybody saying as you wish? Why not say something fun like okey dokey artichokey? Honestly they sounded like a bunch of snakedroids.

I snuck up on Lloyd and gently tapped his shoulder.

"Hebi?" he asked.

"Yup! It's me!" I said.

"I'm busy at the moment."

"So? You can still talk."

"But I'm-"

"Don't matter. I need to ask you a question are you controlling the general?" He paled.

"No." It was clear he was lying.

"Tell me the truth."

"No!"

"If you don't then I won't tell you the thing."

"What thing?"

"Tell me and, you'll find out."

"Fine. I'm telling him what to do, but I'm not controlling him. He's just kind of........ easier to manipulate." I knew what he meant by that.

"Did he try to hypnotize you, and end up hypnotizing himself instead?"

"Yes, but it's fine. Right?" He looked nervous, but I wasn't sure why. If it wasn't fine he would still be okay. We'd stay friends.

"The rest of the hypnobrai won't be happy, but I'm fine with it. I didn't like him anyways. He was to bossy. Always telling us what to do." He looked upset now almost like he felt guilty. But that couldn't be right. He was a villain and manipulating people is what villains do.

"Do you feel guilty?" I asked curiously.

"No! Of course not. I'm a bad guy. He's just one of my henchmen. I don't care about anyone but myself." I could easily tell he was lying. He actually cared about hurting someone. Maybe he wasn't a villain after all. I wouldn't mind that. I wasn't really a villain either. I just didn't really care for most people, although I would get upset if anyone got hurt, and I would never hurt anyone.

"Now the thing is....... Scales hypnotized one of the ninja. I don't know which. I just know it was one of them. I think it was the black one, but I'm not quite sure."

"I'll go ask him." and he left.

I smiled. He seemed kind of rude, but he was actually really nice and a good friend.
