Cole's POV

"Then kickball change, barrel roll, barrel turn, and we all do the double wings," I said as the others danced. Jay and Kai accidentally bumped into eachother, resulting in yet another fight between them.

"Dude, you gotta follow me!" Jay said.

"Follow you? Your two beats off!" Kai said.

"Actually it's more like three beats off," I said.

"You don't get to talk, Mr. Refuses To Dance!" Jay said angrily. I sighed. At first I'd been relieved when I'd discovered that no one else heard me and Hebi's conversation, but now I was starting to wish they had. Then they might not yell at me for refusing to join them.

"Can y'all shut up! I'm trying to perfect my singing here!" Hebi said.

"Yeah, let's not make this harder than it has to be. We just stick to the plan and keep up the charade until the trophy's revealed. Once we steal the blade cup we can argue all we want once we get back home," I said.

"Actually I would prefer no arguing," Hebi said. "It reminds me of my time in the tombs. And those are some memories I'd prefer to forget."

"I'm with Hebi. No arguing. Please," Lloyd added.

"Sorry, but there's no stopping these two from arguing," I said, motioning towards Kai and Jay.

"Not true!" They said at the same time.

"Whatever. Let's just get this done, so I can leave."

"But this is your hometown, Cole. Don't you wanna try and win it?" Jay asked.

"The only dance step I wanna preform is called, 'get me out of this nuthouse and let's burn these memories from my head'!"

"What?" dad asked shocked.

"Dad-I"

"Y-You were going to steal it?"

"Dad, I didn't mean for you to hear that. But-But I'm glad you did. There's something I've been wanting to tell you."

"Wait, he doesn't know about your stage fright?" Hebi asked way to loudly. I blinked.

"What? No. What does that have to do with-"

"Isn't that your secret?"

"Yes. But I'm talking about my other secret. The entire reason we're here."

"Oh. I actually forgot about that."

"How- you know what. It's not important. Dad, all these years I haven't been training to be a singer or a dancer. I've found something new that I'm really good at. Dad." I did spinjitzu. "I'm a ninja." Dad gasped. "And the truth is if we don't steal the fangblade- I mean blade cup other people will. Bad people. Serpentine."

"Not that all serpentine are bad! Just most!" Hebi yelled. I gave her a look.

"Please, stop interrupting."

"Ugh. Fine!"

"Now that that's done. Let me continue. We need the blade cup to save the world. I know how ridiculous this sounds. But I'm proud of who I am, and I want you to be proud of me too."

"I can't be proud of any son who thinks stealing is right. And I'm not going to wait around to watch you make a mockery of our family's legacy" dad said.

"Dad, I-"

"Lilly would be disappointed." He then walked out.

"We both know that's not true!" I said, tears filling my eyes.

"And Lou's back to being the worst dad," Hebi said.

"I'm sure he didn't mean that," Kai said.

"Maybe if he saw you in action," Jay added.

"No, i-it's okay. I'm fine." All of a sudden a door opened and some serpentine in disguise walked out.

"Treble makers?" I asked.
