Chapter 78: Memories

Zane's POV

"Now everyone's gotten their true potential but me!" Kai yelled. I'd told them everything, except that I was a nindroid. Yes, I was now okay with the idea, but I wasn't necessarily sure how they'd react. Plus, if Molly could keep her species a secret so could I.

"You will obtain it eventually," I said.

"Yeah, eventually. Like when Lloyd turns out to have powers. Because it's gonna take you a while to either gain some self esteem or stop searching for ways to get self esteem," Hebi said. I noticed Molly flinch when she mentioned Lloyd having powers.

"Does he have powers?" I asked.

"Oh, no! Of course not! That's just as likely as you being a robot!" Molly said. I blinked. So that was a yes?

"Nindroid," Hebi and Jay said at the same time. They then groaned. "Not again!"

"Not what again?" I asked.

"Hebi and Jay are stuck talking at the same time again," Lloyd said, and that's when I finally realized he was there. I blinked.

"So you are helping us now?"

"Yeah. You could say that." He sounded conflicted as if he wasn't quite sure.

"Definitely," Hebi said at the same time.

"That is good," I said. "Now let us go home."

Once we were at the monastery I pulled Molly away. I needed my memories back.

"What you wanna talk about?" She asked.

"My memories. I want you to either reveal where the switch is, so that I can flip it, or flip it yourself. I refuse to go another day without my memories," I said in a serious tone.

"But-"

"No buts! I can't stand it anymore! Either you tell me or I turn you into an icicle!"

"That's a bit much for such a little thing, don't ya think?"

"A bit much? A bit much! It's a perfect amount! I have lived for years without my memories, and you won't let me get them back!"

"I just- I don't know- do you really want to know? It's pretty bad."

"I can deal with it." She sighed.

"Okay. Don't go freezing Hebi though."

"Why would I do that?"

"Er, you'll see." With that she took a deep breath and flipped the switch.

Many memories appeared in my mind. A few stuck out more than others.

Flashback

"Welcome to the world, Zane!" Father said. I pointed curiously to the falcon on his shoulder.

"What-is-that?" I asked. It was difficult to form words at first.

"That is Sir Falconington as my friend, Wu, calls him. He is your friend, and kinda your brother. Just like you he was built to protect those who cannot protect themselves."

"I was built to protect those who cannot protect themselves?"

"Yes. That is correct! Now let me show you around."

"Mollisa, Wu, Garmadon! What are you doing here?" Father asked.

"Timmy says that Zane's now the master of ice," Molly said.

"That would explain the sudden change in behavior." I blinked.
