Chapter 61: Catching Garmadon Up

Wu's POV

"So what kind of trouble has Lloyd gotten himself into?" Garmadon asked.

"I'm afraid to say the worst kind. He's reopened the serpentine tombs, and now that they have united Pythor is trying to find the four silver fangblades to unleash the great devourer," I said.

"The very snake that turned me evil?"

"Yes."

"Why would Lloyd open the tombs?"

"To be like you." He sighed.

"I never wanted him to. Thank you for watching out for him."

"You may think of me as your enemy, but I was first your brother." He chuckled.

"It's funny how Misako, the person I trusted, was the one who failed, and you, the person I did not trust, was the one who succeeded." I smiled. It really was.

"Speaking of Misako, how is she doing?" Garmadon asked. I sighed.

"I do not know. I haven't seen her in years. Ever since she dropped Lloyd of at Darkly's she's-"

"She what?"

"She dropped Lloyd off at Darkly's. I tried to stop her. Tried telling her that she could research the green ninja and raise Lloyd. Tried telling her that I could take care of him, but she didn't listen." He clenched his fists angrily, and his eyes changed to a bright purple. I sighed.

"The next time I see her me and her are going to have a long talk about the importance of raising our son." Although I agreed that what Misako did was wrong, I didn't want Garmadon being mad at her, so I tried to explain her reasoning.

"Do not get mad at her just yet. She was trying to stop the final battle. She was convinced that Lloyd was the green ninja, and that you two would have to fight."

"That still doesn't explain why she would just abandon him like that! If you were offering to take care of him then shouldn't she have left him with you? Or I don't know literally anywhere other than Darkly's! Did she think I wanted him to be a villain? Because I thought I made it very clear that I did not!" I sighed.

"I do not know, but you should not get angry at your wife for what she did. She was merely trying to help. Her reasons might have been..... Unorthodox, but you should still forgive her." He sighed.

"Fine. But if she doesn't have a good reason for abandoning my son I'm abandoning her."
