Kai's POV
"Hahahahaha! The first fanglade is ours!" Pythor exclaimed, holding a fangblade.
"Yay! Now we can unleash the big monster thingy!" Lloyd said, surprisingly unhappily.
"Not so fast!" I said, holding my now burning sword menacingly.
"Really? That's the best you got?" Cole asked.
"I couldn't think of anything on the fly!"
"How about, 'time to burn', or, 'jump on this fire ride?"
"Or, 'go fire go,'! Hebi added.
"Well, next time y'all lead!" I said angrily.
"Next time I will," Hebi said.
"Oh yeah, if you can catch up!"
"Oh come on. You two have to follow my lead cause I-" Cole began, but quickly the serpentine began to attack.
About a minute in I decided it was time to show them just how much I'd learned.
"Watch and learn, brothers," I said as I powered up my sword.
"I'm a girl," Hebi said. I grumbled.
"And sister."
"Thank you."
I attempted to attack the serpentine, but accidentally set the floor on fire.
The serpentine laughed as we began to put out the flames, and I sighed.
"Why do I always mess things up?" I said under my breath.
"Hebi, use your hypnosis! Quick! Before they get away!" Cole said.
"No!" Hebi exclaimed. I stared at her confused.
"Why?" Cole asked.
"It's wrong!" I gave her a look.
"Aren't you always saying that, "the best way to defeat you enemy is to make them believe their chickens'?" I asked.
"I didn't mean it! People say a lot of stuff they don't mean! You should know that!"
"Why should I know that?"
"Oh no reason. Except that you pretend to be full of yourself when you're actually one of the most insecure out of all of us." I blinked.
"What?"
"Oh don't play dumb, Mr I'm Going To Be The Green Ninja JK Obviously Not."
"What in the world are you talking about?" Cole asked.
"I'm talking about how Kai says that he's one hundred percent going to be the green ninja when in reality he's the only who believes he won't." We all stared at her confused.
"You can't tell me you didn't hear him ask himself, 'why do I always mess things up,'." I paled. She heard that?
All of a sudden Lloyd yelled, "Bye, bye, ninja!" And we all realized the serpentine were getting away.
"We'll talk about this later," Hebi said.
