Chapter 53: Answers That Only Lead To More Questions

Zane's POV

Molly had left to get Nya and Cole before Wu explained why she was here. She now walked into the room with them.

Cole was holding a cake. That explained why he had left.

I examined Nya, trying to figure out why she had left. Had we made her mad? Had she also wanted food? Or was there some other reason that I did not realize?

I hoped it wasn't the latter. I knew to little already. I did not need more questions.

"Nya, what were you doing?" I asked.

"Inventing," she said. I was not sure why, but I did not believe what she had said.

"Willy, I'd much prefer you tell them what's going on than that," Molly said in a loud tone. Everyone stared at her confused.

"Than what?" I asked. She sighed.

"Some things are best kept secret."

"But did you not just say that you should not keep secrets?" She glared at me her eyes seemingly glowing.

"No. I said you shouldn't keep secrets from your students. You are not my student. Now, Willy, please tell them now instead of making a gazillion excuses as to why it's a bad idea. I know you think that telling anyone anything will result in the world ending, but this is important. Especially since this could help them fight Lloyd."

"Save! We're going to save Lloyd!" Hebi yelled. Molly chuckled.

"No, you are not saving Lloyd. You are saving Pythor." I stared at her confused. This did not make sense.

"I do not understand. What do you mean we are saving Pythor?" I asked.

"You and possibly even Lloyd himself may not realize it yet, but Lloyd is your biggest threat. He could very easily go out of control and destroy everything."

"But he is just a child."

"And Willy was a child too. But the incident still happened." Sensei Wu stared at the floor.

"Mother, may you, please, not talk about that," he said. I stared at him confused. What incident? What was sensei Wu hiding?

"I was only using it as an example. Just like how you like to bring up how Monty tried to take over the world."

"That's different!"

"Look, Willy, I'm not trying to be rude...... But we all know it isn't."

"What is not? What did sensei Wu do? Who is Monty?" I asked.

"Monty is Garmadon," sensei Wu said. I stared at him.

"You mean Monty is lord Garmadon, meaning that Molly is talking about when Garmadon tried to take over the world, meaning that you-"

"No! I didn't do anything like that! Mother just likes to overexaggerate."

"Yes, let's pretend that what you did wasn't as bad if not worse than what Monty did."

"What did sensei-" I began.

"Nothing! I did nothing! Now can we, please, talk about something else?" sensei Wu asked.

"I've been waiting on you to tell them why I'm here," Molly said. Sensei Wu sighed.

"Fine," sensei Wu said, "Mother came here because Lloyd has been showing some.......... Characteristics that mother is worried about."

"Willy, just admit it. The reason I came here was because Lloyd's showing signs of his o-"

"Not everyone needs to know everything!" I stared at him confused. Why was sensei Wu so worried about this?
