Nya's POV

I ran to Lloyd and Hebi's cages. Hebi had an angry look on her face as she sat there arms crossed.

Lloyd on the other hand was smiling. He seemed way to cheery for someone who was locked in a cage.

I began to free Hebi.

"No!" she yelled. I stared at her confused.

"No? But don't you want to be saved?" I asked.

"Yes, but not by you. You've already made everyone forget I exist. I don't need people thinking I'm weak too." I sighed.

"Fine. I'll just rescue Lloyd then."

"No thank you. I'm fine where I am," Lloyd said. I stared at him confused.

"What? But you're in a cage? Who likes-"

"He's been hypnotized. I think. Either that or he's always thought that friends lock friends in cages," Hebi said.

"For the last time, Hebi, I. Am. Not. Hypnotized!" Lloyd yelled. His eyes changed to bright purple in a matter of seconds. I remembered how Cole's eyes had a sort of reddish tinge to them. Maybe Lloyd was hypnotized. That would at least explain his sudden change of eye color.

"That's the only reason anyone'd like being trapped in a cage!"

"I don't like being trapped in a cage. I'm okay with it. Pythor told me-"

"Pythor's a liar!"

"Well, Scales also-"

"And so's Scales! No wonder what you do to explain it I'm never going to understand why you enjoy this. There's something clearly wrong." Lloyd stared at the floor.

"Nothing's wrong. I just listen to my friends. I'm a good friend. Unlike you." His voice was filled with spite.

"I'm a good friend! If I wasn't then I'd have left you a while ago! Only a true friend would stay with a kid who constantly says that their a villain when they aren't. Who doesn't pay attention to plans. And who is hurting your friends." It was obvious she was trying to be nice, but she failed. Badly.

Lloyd looked like he was about to cry.

"I-I-I don't care what you think! I'm an amazing villain, and you're a weak little ninja who'll never fit in! Now just leave me alone!" Hebi looked shocked. I could tell he was just projecting his insecurities onto her. But she couldn't.

After unlocking both of their cages me and Hebi walked farther away from the cages.

"Are you okay?" I asked.

"Yes. I'm fine. Why wouldn't I be?" she asked. The smile on her face was all to familiar.

I'd seen it to many times on my own face and my brother's. It was a fake smile. One meant to hide your pain from the world.

Hebi was pretty good at it, and if it wasn't for the fact that I used to fake smile often I probably would've thought it was real.

"You're faking. I can tell."

"No, no I'm not."

"Yes, you are, and don't try to pretend. I can see right through you. All I want is for you to tell me what's-"

"Why should I tell you anything when I don't even know your identity, cyborg samurai thing?"

"Please don't call me that."

"No. Now tell me who you are!" I sighed.

"I'm sorry, but that's classified."

"Ugh! Everything's classified!"

"That's not true."

"Then why don't you tell me your identity? And why doesn't Wu tell me what that dumb call was about! And why doesn't Lloyd just tell me why he's perfectly fine with the idea of being trapped in a cage. And why he's wearing a jacket in the desert! And why doesn't-"

"Because revealing things causes problems! If I reveal who I am then you'll tell the rest of the ninja then they'll yell at me, and I'll get in trouble with Kai for "taking to many risks" then-"

"You'll get in trouble with Kai. Huh?"

"Yes."

"Kai must be pretty overprotective. Right, Nya?"

"Who's Nya?" I asked, playing dumb. I wasn't as famous as the rest of the ninja so maybe I could pretend I didn't know I existed.

"You. Kai's only that overprotective of Nya."

"Well, I'm not her."

"You're acting's pretty good, but I know it's you so stop pretending. I promise I won't tell anyone." I gave her a look.

"I promise I won't break my promise. Happy?" she asked.

"Yes, I'm still not telling you, but I am happy." She glared at me.

"Fine. When are the ninja coming?"

"Soon. I sent a distress beacon, so they should be on their way."

"Cool. Can I ask some questions?"

"No."

"Okay! Why are you hiding your identity? Are you secretly a cat? How's it like having people know you exist? Do you know spin-" Hebi fainted.

I stared at her confused.

"What?"

"Samurai, either fight the ninja or watch your friend die," Pythor said as he turned visible.

I stared at him shocked.

"Did you hear our entire conversation?" I asked, worry filling my voice. If that was the case then he knew who I was.

"No, just that the ninja are coming." We both stayed quiet for a moment. I was waiting on Pythor to say something.

"If you're having trouble deciding let me make it easier for you. On top of letting you and Hebi go I'll also let Lloyd go." I thought it over.

If I tried to fight back Hebi or Lloyd could get hurt. But if I agreed I'd have to attack my friends.

Of course then again I wouldn't mind attacking Kai.

Maybe I could pretend fight, but actually secretly help them.

I smiled. That was good idea.

"Fine. But on one condition you tell me what your plan is. Your entire plan. That means the parts that include Lloyd. And don't pretend he isn't included. If he wasn't included then you'd have left him behind at Darkly's." Pythor smiled

"Sure. He's not that important anyway." I wasn't sure if he'd actually keep his promise or not, but it didn't really matter. I had a backup plan.

Pythor then led me to a building and told me that that was where I was going to be staying till my fight with the ninja.

I smiled as I looked back at footage.

I'd placed a microphone on Pythor.

Now I'd know his secrets whether he kept his promise or not.
