Rimuru's POV
Hearing what Finn had said, everyone on the first floor was surprised. Well, most were, with the exception of me, Ciel, Guy, Luna, Zelanus and that purple suited person. Well, add Rizzete to that list as well.
I quickly retracted my aura and Ciel did the same. Everyone looked upwards at where Finn was looking, but me, Ciel and Guy were looking straight at Veldanava. It looks like Guy had also caught up to veldanava's disappearance.
Suddenly the illusion disappeared, and the balcony on the second floor came into view. Sounds of a single person clapping could be heard.
"Not bad. Not bad at all. You are the first person who has ever noticed our presence. No doubt you defeated Eternal and took over his throne." A woman said. Her face was pure white, but her long hair that went so the way down to her knees were caught my attention. Her hair want black, it was the colour of Void. The colour of space, with the small twinkles of stars everywhere.
Her hair matched perfectly with her clothes which were also pitch black with small lights twinkling everywhere. Her dress was looked as of it was made by sewing space itself.
But, it looks like nobody else noticed it. Well, I guess it makes sense. The night sky that we see is much different than that of free space, so it isn't a surprise that people who haven't left their home planets would ever know.
I turned to look at Veldanava who was smirking and trying to control his laughter. That must be because of her comment. The only one? There are atleast eight of us. But, I don't want to attract too much attention, so I decided to watch from afar. I moved backwards, towards one of the wall, away from the entire commotion.
And I wasn't the only one to do so. Chloe and Ciel were the same as they came with me. Ruminas, Leon, Guy and Dagruel also moved towards the border of the realm. Meanwhile, Luna didn't move much and continued to look at the commotion from where she was.
Zelanus was completely uninterested in what was happening and was much more interested in the strength of the gods sitting on the second floor.
"I don't really care about your praises. Just stay away from my world. It had already suffered enough under Eternal, going through a pandemonium every century." Finn said, clearly stating his demand.
"You seem to misunderstand me. I have no interest in your world. But the same can't be said about Orcanyx. You seem quite strong, so I was thinking of helping you out, after all, Orcanyx was stronger then Eternal." The woman said. Her choice of words are a little off.
"Fine. I'll trust you. But what do I get in return?" Finn asked. But as soon as he said that, a red aura surrounded Finn. Finn suddenly got on guard.
"Don't worry. It's nothing harmful. It's just telling us that you are lying. After all, it isn't allowed to lie in this realm." The woman said with a smirk while looking at the second floor.
That's interesting. So that's why she said Orcanyx was stronger. Eternal most probably became stronger later on.
"By the way, I will not involve myself directly right now. As this case seems to be growing beyond just a squabble, I hope you both are ready to fight a war against each other. Obviously, us Gods will not just sit idly by. We will support whichever side we feel is righteous." The woman said before sitting down again.
Why does it seem like she is sure that they would go at war? Why is she cementing the idea of a war? It is as if she wants the war to happen. If that's the case, then isn't she siding with Orcanyx?
Finn was gritting his teeth in anger, meanwhile Rizzete was looking around, trying to make sense of the situation. Orcanyx seized this opportunity and quickly began to explain how he was framed. All his yapping reminded to Clayman, except that his facts are in order and that there is no contradiction in what he is saying.
Meanwhile, I was checking what was being counted as a lie. The red aura surrounding Finn had slowly dissipated. I spoke a half truth, and it didn't activate. There were other things that I wanted to check, like if I commented about a variable future, will it activate or not, but I decided not to experiment any further.
While I was doing all this, it seems like the factions had already chosen their sides. The woman, who was sitting toward East, sided with Orcanyx, and as if to go against her another group of Gods who were sitting opposite to her, sided with Finn.
Meanwhile, Veldanava, who was sitting in the Northern part was not taking part at all. He was just ignoring all the commotion. Things were getting heated between Finn and Orcanyx, but luckily calmed down when a man spoke up.
"Alright. Calm down. This meeting is a place for the young ones to expand their sphere of influence, but to start a war between them. Leave them alone. Atleast for now, Yggdrasil." The man said while looking at the woman, who he called Yggdrasil.
If I am not wrong, wasn't Yggdrasil the God of that other world, Earth wich had its history slightly deviated from what I knew. That also means that she is the one who sent the letter of invitation.
"Fine. Why don't you all get to know each other? After all, you are all the latest generation of Gods." Yggdrasil said with a smirk as she set up a barrier, separating the second and first floor. I could break through the barrier, but it will attract a lot of attention. It isn't possible to slip a part of my aura through the barrier as there are no cracks in it.
"Looks like we will have to socialize a bit, or else we will catch attention." I tell Ciel and Chloe. When a commotion is ongoing, staying in a corner and not doing anything might hide you, but when everything's calm, people will definitely notice you if you don't do anything.
I scanned through the crowd, trying to gain insight on who it would be better to interact with. While I was looking around, I came across a familiar aura. I looked around and soon found the source of the familiar aura.
This aura was very much familiar to that of Shinsha's, because they have the same types of skills.
My eyes fell upon, what seemed to be, a couple. The man was wearing shiny clothes that you will find a noble wearing in an event. Meanwhile the woman, who was levitating slightly above ground and hovering about the man had long white hair and was, no doubt a spirit.
I made my way towards them, and seeing them, Ciel understood what I meant to do. As I got closer to them, the man locked his eyes on us, but I didn't do anything she made my way towards them.
"Hello. It's nice to meet you. I am Rimuru Tempest. These two are my wives, Ciel and Chloe" I said as I introduced myself and my wives.
"Nice to meet you. I am Rovel." The man said and continued," and this is my wife, Origin."
