Rimuru's POV

Once we returned to the Cardinal World, we were all in Tempest, for some reason.

"Why did you bring us here?" I ask.
"We need to talk, don't we?" Veldanava replied.
"There are plenty of other places we can talk. Why to Tempest specifically?" Ciel asked, clearly not amused that everyone is crashing in our place, without any prior knowledge or consent.

'Get some tea and snacks for everyone.' I say to a maid that was stationed outside the room we had teleported into. I could feel stutter a little in surprise, but she quickly nodded and got in her job. I know no matter what we do, I doubt we will change the location of discussion, so might as well prepare for it.

"Well, Tempest has the best food to say the least. But now importantly, we need Veldora with us as well." Veldanava replied. Ciel was about to say something back but I stopped her by placing my hand on her shoulder.

"Let's sit down and get this over with." I say as I sit down on the chair at the head of the table and Ciel sits besides me. The others sir around the sofa. Well, this isn't exactly a place for me to hold meetings, but oh well.

"What do you want to say Veldanava? Speak up and get it done with." I say.

"Alright. Since I told you I am retiring, it's about time I tell you guys your jobs as new Gods. As Gods, you are responsible not only for maintaining your world, but also for raising a new generation of Gods. Each God must create atleast 5 Gods from their own world throughout their natural lifespan.

Now that your all have become Gods, I don't need to continue to look after this world and retire peacefully. Guy, I will leave the Cardinal Plane in your hands. You have been taking good care of it till now, I hope you will continue to do so."

"You are saying that as if you will leave the Cardinal World and go somewhere else." Guy asked suspiciously, to which Veldanava just smiled.

"That's exactly what I am planning to do. I am planning on taking Lucia, Milim and the few angels who want to come with me to the Astral Realm."

"Astral realm?" Zelanus asked.

"That's right, it is a seperate realm where us Gods can live." Just as Veldanava was about to explain, there was a knock on the door, and a maid walked in. She kept a few cookies and cakes on the table and a few other maids poured tea for everyone, before bowing and leaving.

"Ahem. As I was saying, it's a seperate realm which can expand indefinitely. Many Gods choose to shift to the divine realm and live there, all the while controlling their world from there."

"So, can everyone go there was well?" Milim asked with a twinkle in her eyes.

"Well, there is nothing restricting you guys. It's even possible to transfer your entire Kingdom to the Divine realm."

"Wait. Can we take the people as well?"
"Yes. Don't think that only Gods can come and go into the Astral realm. If you are their underling, or even just a person who lives in their kingdom, it is possible to enter the Astral realm.

Don't think that just because of its name it's a heavenly place. The Astral Realm is just like any other place. There are poor and the rich, weak and the strong. Not all Gods are good. It is no guarantee that the Astral realm would be a better place for your people, especially Tempest. Seeing how it has prospered so much here, it will only suffer if it suddenly went into the Astral realm."

"Why do you think I will go to the Astral realm?" I asked, genuinely confused as to why I would even consider the choice to move.

"Not just you, I am sure everyone apart from Guy would like to move. After all, if you stay in this world, you will have to listen to his orders. I am giving him full right over the core of the Cardinal World, so that technically makes him the true ruler."

Guy, who heard this, had a huge smile on his face.

"Isn't this too short of a time for us to prepare?" Ruminas asked, clearly not amused by the fact that she might have to shift.

"Don't worry. It will still take a good two to three millennia before I completely pass over the ownership of the Cardinal World. Not only do I have to teach him, I also have to see well he is coping to his new role. For that matter, I will have to teach Rimuru, Chloe and Ciel as well. Since they have a world core with them as well."

"I understand what you mean, but wouldn't it be a problem for the humans if most of us were to suddenly disappear." Surprisingly, it was Milim who pointed this out.

"That's right, Tempest, the eastern Empire, Ruberios, El Dorado. If all these nations were to suddenly disappear, it will be a massive problem." Leon agreed as well.

"Well, that is something that the future God of the Cardinal World needs to think about, isn't it?" I say as I completely throw all responsibility over to Guy.

3rd Person POV

After that, the discussion continued for some time. All the while, Shinsha was staying in her room, nervously. She had not met Rimuru or Ciel for nearly five years. The time dilation in the two worlds made it seem like only a month had passed for Rimuru and the others, but for Shinsha, more than five years had passed.

She was not the young and attached child anymore. She could decide and do her work on her own. In the absence of her parents, it was she who was controlling the top management of the country.

But, that did not mean she did not miss them. She understood that what her parents were doing was important, yet somewhere in her heart, she just wanted to enter the meeting and hug them.

"Calm down. You must learn how to be patient. Since he didn't even reveal his arrival to the officials properly, he must be busy. The maid did say that Guy and others were there. They must be discussing something important." It was Titania who was consoling Shinsha. In fact, in the past five years, Titania would come to visit Shinsha atleast once every month.

Titania would come over so often that she had bought a house for herself as well as opened a small company under her name. She had done everything that one would do before settling in a new place. Shinsha often wanted to ask what Titania's plan was and how their world was, but refrained from probing further when Titania refused to answer her.
