3rd Person POV

In an abandoned building in the outskirts of City Rimuru

In a dark room, a man sits in a chair. Hundreds of people gather in front of him. They all seem to be in a jolly mood, despite all the commotion going on outside.

"Hahaha. These monsters are so foolish. They are so easily to manipulate." The man sitting on a chair exclaimed.

"You are right milord. The time when this country is under our control is not far."
"Yes yes."
"These monsters should just serve us."

Voices of affirmation resounded throughout the hall.

"Silence. It is still too early to celebrate. Make sure you all do your jobs properly. We will have lots of time to celebrate if we succeed." The man said.

He looked behind him, and there was a young girl, nodding, as if giving her approval. The hai quickly emptied as all the people rushed outside to take advantage of the situation.

"I hope this is just like you planned Tia-sama." The man some up, once no one apart from the two were in the room.

"Of course. No matter how strong he is, the demon lord will definitely lose is he had to fight those four together. Even if he does win, we can just kill him in one strike as he would be weakened.

"Yes, you are right Tia-sama." The man, who had been acting high and mighty stood up and bowed before leaving.

Tia, who had been standing there let out a sigh.

"I wonder why my master is like this." Tia complained before going out herself.

At the same time, Arena

As loud cheers started to erupt, Rimuru alone stood in the centre of the arena with Benimaru, Testarossa, Ultima and Carrera surrounding him from all sides.

"It's been 500 years. I hope you have actually gotten better. I am looking forward to how you amuse me. After all, this will be the day you die." Rimuru said in a condensing tone.

"Hehe. We will surely surprise you Rimuru-sama." Benimaru said as he quickly dashed at Rimuru.

But Rimuru dodged before Benimaru even reached there. The reason being, Testarossa's whip, which had already struck the position at which Rimuru was. Benimaru, then used that whip as a foothold to quickly changed momentum and follow after Rimuru.

Rimuru, who was trying to go for Ultima was stopped by nuclear magic by Carerra. Carerra was abusing her large magicule capacity and continuously firing nuclear magic at Rimuru. The nuclear magic blocked all of his paths of escape except one. It was easy to see that it was a trap, but Rimuru went with it, regardless.

He could easily protect himself from nuclear magic, but Rimuru decided against it, thinking it wouldn't be correct evaluate them in that regard. Afterall, it would be impossible for them to break through his Void barrier which has limitless energy.

As if waiting for Rimuru, Benimaru had taken a stance with his sword. Seeing this, Rimuru aimed straight at Benimaru's sword. If Rimuru wanted, he could have easily overpowered him, but Rimuru didn't want that. He wanted to defeat the four solely on the basis of technique and not power.

Benimaru, who had defended against Rimuru's sword tried to create space by moving backwards, but Rimuru using his momentum, turned his body sideways and spun around very close to the ground and used his legs to sweep Benimaru off the ground.

Benimaru moves his centre of mass so as to move away from Rimuru. He put up his guard and got ready to block Rimuru's attack, but none came. Benimaru was surprised, but soon realised and looked behind him.

Rimuru's POV

I sweep Benimaru and quickly move past him. When fighting a group, one must always aim for the one who is providing support first. If Benimaru is the vanguard, then Testarossa is the middle guard and Carrera, the rear guard.

That leaves Ultima to support them. Ultima is good with poison. But that also means that she is good at healing. If anything stimulates our body in a negative way, it is a poison, but if it stimulates our body in a positive way, it is a medicine.

I quickly make my way towards Ultima. Seeing me, Ultima quickly dashed at me. Her hands, covered in poison aim straight at my head, but I block with my left hand. Her poison corrodes my left hand, so I activate my body Armor. My scale are naturally much tougher than the strongest metals. Ultima's poison, boosted by her ultimate skill, did nothing more than sting a bit.

I use my right hand and punch her in the guts. My punch immediately cracks her spine and she goes flying into the barrier. She then falls to the ground as a dent could be seen in the barrier.

The barrier then quickly repaired itself, and the dent was nowhere to be seen. I turn around to attack Benimaru, but Carrera bombards me with her nuclear magic. I try to dodge them, but Testarossa's whip slither around my feet, preventing me from moving. I quickly set up my barrier, but it too was broken by Benimaru who came from behind me. It's true that I didn't put any Turn Null into it, but it wasn't weak at all.

Benimaru, who was in close proximity would also be hit by Carerra's magic. As the magic hits me, I cover myself with my scales. As the explosion dies down, I escape completely unscathed, but Benimaru was burnt in plenty of places. Smoke rose from his body as his body had been roasted.

Even then, he was still standing, which makes sense. He, after all, has an ultimate skill that can control fire. Benimaru, without even healing continues to attack me. Testarossa continues to support him by attacking me with her whip.

Carrera, meanwhile, continued to bombard the arena, cutting off my escape routes. The situation is in a deadlock. If I use my superior abilities, it would be easy to win, but I don't want that. I want to defeat these four on the save level as them.

I am having trouble controlling simple skills like thought acceleration. Till now, it was Ciel who used to control them and optimize them, but now that I have to do it on my own, I realise just how difficult it is. Sometimes I would accelerate my thoughts too much. This would make the world stop for me, other times, I don't accelerate my thoughts enough and am forced to defend completely based on instincts. Using this time to learn how to control them on my own is quite a blessing.

I have been mastering my control over thought acceleration over the past five minutes. Now that my control is much better, I guess it would be fine to end this.

3rd Person POV

Rimuru, who was till now on the defensive, had a sudden change. Benimaru, realising this the earliest, created a gap between them. Testarossa, who was unable to realise this on time, got her whip caught by Rimuru. Rimuru tugged on the whip, pulling Testarossa towards him. He then slammed his first straight into her stomach, knocking her out cold, just like Ultima.

Rimuru then quickly changed his target to Carrera. Rimuru dashed straight at her. Carrera, caught off guard attacked with the strongest nuclear magic she could. Rimuru just dodged out of the way and proceeded to pierce Carerra's abdomen with his hands. Just as Rimuru was about to retract his hand, Carrera held him in place. With a crazy smile on her face, she held the hand piercing through her stomach in place.

Before Rimuru could understand, a sword was piercing through his chest. Seeing this, Carerra's strength left her and she fell onto the ground, lifeless.
