Rimuru's POV

The armored Finn picked up his helmet and walked through the portal, which closed after him.

The entire area was in a deep silence. Chloe and Ciel looked at me, wondering what to do.

"*Sigh* That sure was a surprise, wasn't it, Finn?" I ask, trying to break the awkward environment.

"You know something, don't you? They didn't seem like illusions to me." Finn asked in a serious tone. His eyes, which were once brown were glowing golden. Is this done kind of power?

"I might. I might not. Anyways, let's talk inside." It seemed like Finn wanted to say something, but just started quiet.

"I am sorry, I couldn't hold them back." The woman who was stopping us earlier said as she came up.

"No problem, Astrid. There's no way you could have stopped them. They are on par with me, if not stronger, and there were three of them, so it's understandable. " Finn consoled the woman, named Astrid.

"So, Astrid, yeah? Nice to meet you. Now that you know we are your enemies, let's introduce ourselves. I am Rimuru Tempest, ruler of the Kingdom of Tempest. These two are my wives, Ciel and Chloe." I say as I introduce us.

"Nice to meet you, I am Astrid von Draclow, leader of the knights order of Rigland." Astrid introduced herself.

"I am sure we have already introduced ourselves, but for formalities, I am Ludmilla, leader of the Crimson Knights." Ludmilla said as she introduced herself.

"Alright then, let's enter the city first. We'll talk in a secluded place."

"Do you believe there is someone spying on us? And we can't even sense him?" Finn asked, offended. Does he think I am underestimating him?

"Who knows? Better be safe than sorry." I respond and make my way back towards the city. The fact that he can't even realise that there is a clone on him as well as Rizzete just proves that his skills cannot be trusted.

As we make our way back towards the city, some of the angered m adventurers who were helping in the evacuation had returned, to check up on the condition of the city.

"It's the Golden Crestbearer!"
"Even the Cerulean Crestbearer!"

I hear murmurs throughout the adventurers. Crestbearer? Is that what they call Finn and Rizzete? Do they have a special crest or something?

As we made our way through the city, we reached the knight outpost where Ludmilla had taken us before. All the knights stationed there saluted. Most of the knights that were here a week ago were still there, well except the ones that were playing cards. I wonder if they were fired.

As we went by the room where we were interrogated, we came across a large living chambers.

"This is?" I ask.
"My room." Ludmilla answered.

"Not that I use it that much." Ludmilla said as she went closer the windows, closed them, and opened a secret passage that was present below the walls.

Finn was the first one to descend, followed by Rizzete and then Astrid. When it was just us and Ludmilla, Ludmilla spoke up.

"*Sigh* Finn really is naïve. Sorry about all the troubles he had caused you. To tell you the truth, he just awakened his powers about a year ago. Before that he was just an ordinary person. He is only 24, and doesn't know much about the world. So please, take care of him." Ludmilla asked with a bow.

"You don't need to worry about it. Seeing how we will stand against Orcanyx, it's obvious that we help Finn." I respond. Ludmilla nodded before guiding us in and closing the passage's door.

After walking for about a minute, we reached a wider space. It had 12 large beams supporting it, all colored in red, white and black. There were symbols of a sword and shield on the beams, similar to that on Ludmilla's Armor.

"This place should be safe enough." Astrid said as she sat on a desk and turned towards us.

"This place is?"

"Treasury of the Knights order. All the important documents and information are stored here." Astrid replied.

"Is it fine to bring outsiders like us here? This place considers confidential information, right?" I ask, picking up a file that was put on the desk besides me. It was about a small village which was attached by demonic beasts.

"No problems. This is all a thing about the past. There's no need for this place anymore. After all the pandemonium no longer threatens us."

Pandemonium. The name given to the event of revival of Eternal, which occurred every century.

"That's true. But don't forget. Now that humanity has no common enemy, they'll start fighting against each other." I warn them while going through the report. Reinforcements were sent a week late on purpose. The reason given was to awaken the Cerulean Crestbearer and test the strength of the Crimson Crestbearer.

"By the way, what is this entire Crestbearer thing?" I ask as I put away the file.

"Well, Eternal gave some humans special powers. Those people were the Crestbearers." Finn said.

"I see. So you are the Golden Crestbearer, Rizzete is the Cerulean Crestbearer. Who's this red Crestbearer?" I ask.

"That's most probably me." Finn replied.

"Huh?"
"Originally, there were only two Crestbearers. The Crimson Crestbearer, who had the power to kill Eternal and his generals, and the Cerulean Crestbearer, who could break through any barrier of Eternal and his generals as well as create a barrier to hold them."

"Alright, so why are you called the Golden Crestbearer?"

"Well, that has to do with this sword." Finn said as he pointed to his sword.

"This sword, Excalibur, is the sword that is used by all the Crimson Crestbearers to fight and defeat Eternal. Till now, eternal would always win and kill the Crestbearers and give the world a century to recover, before attacking again. But, the previous Crestbearers would store a part of their souls in the sword, and along with it, a bit of their power. I was finally able to use their power turning my Red Crest to a Golden one.

My father was the previous red Crestbearer. After he died, his soul was also in this sword. It was maybe because of him that I was able to utilise this power."

"Wait. Didn't the pandemonium occur every century? How come you and your father both were Crestbearers?" Ciel asked.

"Well, this pandemonium was odd. For some reason, it occurred after only 13 years of the last one."

Hmmm... It happened earlier then they expected. I wonder why.

"Now then. Enough about us. Why did you come to this world?"
"Isn't it obvious? I have come here to give you one last chance to convince me to join you. Just like I had promised."

"*Sigh* To tell you the truth, I was thinking of what to do to convince you, but I could think of nothing that you might need." Finn said.

"So? Are you giving up on scouting me as your ally?"

"As much as I regret to say it, yes."

"... Alright. Then, I wish you luck in your fight against Orcanyx. I really did enjoy this world. But, let me tell you something. You have a long way to go before you become someone befitting the title you hold as the God of this world." I warn him before opening the portal back to my world and passing through it.
