Rimuru's POV

I saw Chandra put the earrings on the table. There was a light tint of blue in the white earrings. They weren't too fancy, yet there was a weird sense of mysticism to it. I hadn't really noticed them until now.

"These are artifacts that I found in the dungeon." Chandra explained.

"So?"

"These have a special purpose. Artifacts are the only unique things
that don't lose their abilities even after going to another world. And I doubt you'll find something like this anywhere else."

"What's so unique about these?"

"These are soul earrings. They can protect against any soul based attack."

"So what? There are many such ornaments in our world as well."

"Indefinitely."

"Hoh? There must be a catch. There's no way it can be that powerful."

"That's right. It requires a constant stream of mana to keep going. The amount of mana required is huge. Huge to us. I can keep it activated for no more than two hours at once.

But it's different for you guys, right? The amount of mana I sense from you guys is billions, if not trillions times as large as mine." Hearing Chandra say this, Arun's eyes went wide. It seems like Chandra had not told Arun about this.

"How did you know? A skill of yours?" I ask. To this, Chandra shook her head in denial and pointed to her eyes.

"My eyes are different. They are special. They can gauge the mana a creature has. As it works even in you, I doubt it is a part of the system, as the system doesn't work on you guys. Not only that, but I can tell. You have an even more sinister energy in you. Something that can destroy this world even if only a single particle of it were to be released." Chandra said as she started straight at me. She was looking straight at me, yet her eyes were dilated, as of looking at something far away. Is she talking about Turn Null?

"Your eyes really do seem unique. Why don't you give them to us? If you do, we will make sure to support you, even after you kill Yggdrasil." Ciel said half jokingly.

"If that's what you want, then I'll give it to you." Chandra said firmly. The atmosphere suddenly became heavy. It didn't look like Chandra was joking.

"Not only my eyes. But you can have anything you want from me. If that's what it takes to save this country, then I don't mind." Chandra declared.

"Just what has this nation done for you? That you are willing to do whatever it takes to save it. If you had dinner it for the world, for humanity, then I could have believed that you are a Saint. But only your nation?" Hearing me call Chandra a Saint, Arun tried to hide his laughter, but failed spectacularly at it and started laughing loudly.

"Hahaha.... Chandra? A Saint!! That's the best joke I've heard." Arun said which only earned him a deadly glare from Chandra.

"This nation is like our mother. Since young, we've been taught to lay down our lives for it. We are not ordinary citizens. We were given special education since we were young to lead the country in the future."

"... Very well. I will protect this country from any harm be it now, or after you kill Yggdrasil. I say as I stood up and created a portal.

"I assume this concludes our business?" I ask.
"Yes. Thanks for your support."

I just nodded and crossed through the portal.

3rd Person POV

"Etto... Was this earring really that important?" Chloe asked shyly.

"Of course not. Don't get me wrong, that earring is really one of a kind. Even in our world, it will be on par with legendary artifacts, but I can create them whether I want." Ciel explained.

"Then why did ...?"

"Because he is kind."

"Huh?! Who's kind?" Rimuru asked in a slightly louder tone.

"Fufu. You are, dear. No matter how much you try to hide it."
"What are you saying?! It was also calculated. These earrings will be a good gift for Shinsha. And by helping them, we can make them owe us. Just like our world, their world will also produce lots of gods. Having them indebted to us will surely be beneficial." Rimuru tried to explain himself.

The three opened the letter, and the contents of the letter were identical.

The individual Rimuru Tempest is invited to Awakening of the Gods ceremony. A portal will connect to your world to allow you to enter the trial chambers in 6 months, 2 weeks and 3 days.

Rimuru's POV

The things written in books were the only things in the letter that were changing. The name on each letter was obviously different. And the time to the opening is the portal was also custom made to dictate the time of different worlds.

"Awakening of God ceremony? What's that?" Chloe asks.

"Veldanava should know. Let's ask him." I suggest.

'Veldanava? Do you have a moment?' i ask via thought communication.

'Give me a minute Rimuru.' Veldanava replied.

After waiting for some time, the demon lord Ring that Rimuru was wearing reacted.

'We are holding an emergency Walpurgis. Mizeri and Raine will come to pick you up. This is regarding the letter that you all received. Rimuru, bring Chloe and Ciel as well.' Guy announced to all the demon lords.

"Looks like we are having another Walpurgis." I told them.

"Seems like it." Ciel responded.

After just a few minutes, a portal opened and Raine passed through it. We quickly followed her through and everyone had arrived, except for Leon, who arrived just after is with Mizeri. Everyone who had broken the system was here. They was Rudra, Velgrynd, Velzard, Veldanava, Lucia, Yuuki, the demon lords- WAIT!

Why is Yuuki here? Rather, how is he here? Wasn't he at the other continent?! Seeing me starting at him, Yuuki gave me a smile.

"Alright, now that everyone's here, let's begin." Veldanava said.

"Wait wait wait. Before that, can somebody explain me why Yuuki is here?" I ask.

"What's wrong with me here? I'll let you know, I managed to break free of this system all on my own. Even before you guys. So, technically, I am the one must deserving to be here." Yuuki said in a mocking tone.

I look over and Guy sighs but nods in acknowledgement. Is he really telling the truth.

"Alright. Enough about that. Let's discuss what we actually came here for. The Awakening of Gods ceremony. Please enlighten us, Veldanava." Guy said with a grin.
